Can Makinde bring votes ? The reality is his strength is just Oyo but because a Yoruba man is president it will be difficult for him to thrive , the Yorubas cannot trade presidency for VP. Another angle is finance , yes as sitting Governor he can bring good financing but we must learn from history, Okowa brought financing but could not even win the state he Governs for us. Makinde choice may also trigger a negative domino effect in SE and SS that the ADC is poised to take. I think there must be rethink .

For now let ADC have its primaries by the time Atiku wins it and transfer to other party is closed, Obi and even his supporters urging him that it must be him or nothing will start begging to be his running mate. Time shall tell.

The beauty of AM ticket is that before 3pm, Jagaban will concede defeat and likely make that call. Just check it, Seyi will flip whole SW to the bag, while Alhaji will flip whole NE,NW,NC straight to the bag. While 25% from SS and SE is sure bet.

That was a strong resolution in Ibadan, everyone agreeing to rally behind a single candidate. Good to see the excitement from Atiku supporters and OBidients as well. To the Atikulates, if Peter Obi clinches the coalition’s presidential ticket, there should be no complaints, stand firmly behind him. To the OBidients: the same applies.
