Civil App No. E004 of 2025 filed by the KPL at the Court of Appeal whose judgement is on 24 April is the only case that stands btwn Kenya adopting GMOs en masse or having a participatory process involving all Kenyans. We are vigilant #GMOJudgementApr26 #KeepTheBan @via_campesina

We’ve moved to the High Court to challenge the transfer of Nairobi County functions following the agreement between Johnson Sakaja and the National Government. Devolution is a constitutional guarantee, not a favour. This case is about defending the Constitution.

“𝐅a𝐫m𝐞r𝐬 𝐚r𝐞 𝐛e𝐜o𝐦i𝐧g d𝐚t𝐚 𝐬o𝐮r𝐜e𝐬, n𝐨t d𝐞c𝐢s𝐢o𝐧-𝐦a𝐤e𝐫s.” – D𝐚v𝐢d O𝐭i𝐞n𝐨 At the First Pan-African Convening on the Future of Biodigital Technologies in Food and Agriculture, held in Addis Ababa from 2–4 October 2025, smallholder farmers from across the continent spoke directly about how biodigital technologies are reshaping their lives and livelihoods. Among them was David Otieno, a smallholder farmer from Kenya and a member of the Kenyan Peasants League, part of La Via Campesina, who offered a grounded and uncompromising reflection from the perspective of those most affected. Women in Apuoyo are leading climate solutions through agroecology & knowledge sharing. Peer learning is strengthening resilience, food sovereignty & community solidarity. These grassroots efforts show why women’s leadership must be central to climate justice. @PeasantsLeague
