@bschippers I use it to be more human-like at stop signs. That full stop freaks out drivers in the intersection or behind you.

Here's an underreported FSD metric: go-pedal override rate — how often a driver presses the go-pedal while FSD is active. On v14, drivers intervene with the accelerator about 1.9% of the time. On v13 it peaked at 7% and sits at 3.3% today. On v12 it hovers around 5–7%. Worth noting: when a driver does press the go pedal, it's most often about preference — wanting to accelerate faster, take a gap differently, or match their own driving style. What many interpret as a negative intervention frequently isn't. It's personal choice. This is a metric I'll be covering a lot more with real data to back it up. There's an enormous opportunity for @Tesla to do incredible story telling here and broadly about FSD. Hope they do. Happy to help. @CernBasher @wholemars @herbertongg2 @DirtyTesLa

Last week I finished the codebase for a traditional Catholic app. What I’m working on now: The TLM Ordinary in Latin and English. 37 prayers with phonetics. Guided Rosary. Stations. Confession guide. 7 saints with daily spiritual rules. 10 Latin courses with more to come.

Drove to Paso Robles last weekend for a wine tasting weekend with some friends. Had to follow their car on the way to the house we were staying at. This forced me to not use FSD for four and a half hours. It was torture. Wish there was a setting where I could say "follow that car".

I’ve already gone through the psychological transition. I subconsciously feel way safer with FSD active vs not. When you’re manually driving after using 14.2 for thousands of miles, you become keenly aware of how much visibility you lack vs FSD, because you’ve gotten so used to/have taken for granted the advantage of 360 vision. I was looking back and forth the other day at an unprotected turn with fast-moving traffic, and as my head was ping-ponging back and forth, I was like “damn, this is fucking stupid and annoying.” You really realize how crippled your awareness is without constant 360 visual inputs protecting you.

Tesla self-driving saves a lot of lives – the statistics are unequivocal. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, of course. Even when we improve safety 10X, saving 90% of the million lives lost in auto accidents every year, Tesla will still get sued for the 10% who did die. The 90% who are still alive mostly won’t even know that Tesla saved them. Nonetheless, it is the right thing to do.

While using FSD in my Model Y, I asked Grok to find me a great burrito on my drive home from Oceanside, CA yesterday and not to add too much time to my drive. Ended up having an amazing shrimp burrito at a place I would never have ventured to. Great little place 2 miles off the freeway. Much better than a fast food option and got to give some $$ to a local business. My only complaint is that FSD scolded me on the drive home because it took 2 hands to hold the football sized burrito I was enjoying and it even ended up taking my FSD away from me. Can't wait for unsupervised FSD so I can eat in peace. Another advantage of Grok and Tesla- introducing you to new exeriences. El Parque Mexican Restaurant in Fallbrook- Solid choice, Grok.

@tankots @WisprFlow I've been using it for months on my computer and just now realized I could add it to my phone. Super excited to see how it works on mobile devices. Thanks for making such an amazing product.

i'm still processing this. marc andreessen just said he's "completely in love" with our product on lenny's podcast. the co-founder of andreessen horowitz. the guy who's backed stripe, twitter, airbnb, slack. said this about @WisprFlow. most people think wispr is just better dictation. but marc got what we've been building toward from day one: voice ai that understands intent, not just words. we've spent years in conversations where people couldn't see the difference. where the thing we were obsessed with felt impossible to explain. and here's someone who's seen thousands of startups articulating it perfectly in one sentence. grateful to have @pmarca as a customer.

Somewhat true. It misses turns often. I speak as someone who has a 93% FSD ( the 7% is likely when my wife is driving ) for the last 9,000 miles. It literally missed a carpool lane flyover this last Saturday for no reason and added 10 minutes to our 90 minute drive, thus making us late.

Tesla FSD completely changes what it’s like to go on road trips. It’s like a cheat code. • Less stress overall while in the car • Never misses a turn • Allows you to run longer due to less fatigue • Much safer than a human driving • 360° view at all times. FSD never gets tired

@JJWatt My new rule is that if I'm standing, there's no tip. If I'm seated than a tip may be considered. It simplifies things for me. Feet under my = no tip.

Genuine question on a restaurant situation: You walk up to a counter to order. You find your own table and seat yourself. If you order coffee, they hand you a cup and you go fill it up yourself. If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and when it goes off, you go pick it up yourself. The iPad has a “20%, 25%, 30%, Other” tip option, with 20% already preselected. What’s your move?

@BakersDT $19.07 for a beef burrito, fries and a Coke? Wow. That's almost 2 trips to @innoutburger . Haven't been to Baker's in a few years and at these prices, I'm not coming back.

The dumbest question .... " not too many people who look like you win...." fool, everyone who wins a marathon "looks" like him. People with more melanin in their skin have dominated distance running for a long time. The question could have been about Americans winning but instead he couldn't help but dip into the racial tank for a question. Good job, sir, for winning a grueling race and to the reporter, poor showing- do better. What a great role model this coach is for his team and the nation.

@BlackWolfTexas @FN_America @EOTECHInc So many improvements over the circa 1991 version that I carried. So any things we knew needed to change. And heaven help you if you had to do CQB with the old version.

The thing that offends me most about the men's U.S. Hockey locker room Gold Medal celebration is the choice of beers. Corona? Seriously? PBR, Budweiser, insert any American Beer or crappy Midwest beer here, but to stock the celebration with Corona cuts me as an American. @usahockey But this GIF is legendary on so many levels.

Jack Hughes. ABSOLUTE LEGEND. Got his teeth knocked out by a high stick from Sam Bennett in the 3rd period but was that going to stop him? No chance. He spit out the blood and kept playing. Scoring the winning goal in OT and securing the gold for the US against Canada in the Olympics. What a legend. The indomitable American spirit. 🇺🇸 🫡 FINAL SCORE: 🇺🇸USA - 2 🥇 🇨🇦CANADA - 1 🥈

My Model Y has backed into a shopping cart on 2 separate occassion on FSD at the grocery store while parking. It excels everywhere else but seems to have a beef with shopping carts. Engineers @Tesla can you fix this so I can move my car back into the circle of trust?
