It's beyond troubling that political violence against those whom we disagree, and do not like, has become a growing form of political protest. As much as some people detested Clinton, Obama, and Biden, no one ever shot at them in public.

Staging an assassination attempt is a next-to-impossible logistical challenge that would require expert coordination and complete confidentiality over the course of a lifetime. Trump certainly has the venality to do it, but nothing close to the competence.

Quite a few Virginia Democrats in my mentions voted no, because they wanted to take a “principled” stance and I can’t help but think they are weak links who don’t mind getting railroaded by Republicans due to their “principles.”

@thepondering_ You’ve got a point. The backstory is that we all know Trump would stage these things if he could. This is in part why he’s always complaining about fake news election rigging. But wishing he could do it and actually pulling it off are two different things.

Claims the shooting was staged are all over my timeline and in my YT comments it’s ironic that MAGA spent so many years baselessly claiming everything they didn’t like was faked or rigged that they’re gonna hear a lot of it now from the other side — they’re gonna hate it
