I’m really not buying this “boo hoo, the Premier League is so hard” narrative. The top PL teams have enormous resources, and there’s no excuse to not be able to rotate their squads. PSG played every game there was to play last season, and then went to the final of the CWC.

@EiFSoccer You also know that the UCL has the best teams and best players + game state changes how games are played. If you're losing in the second leg, there is no "next game" - you must go all out, hence more action and drama

The conclusion from the CL games: the quality of PL football is beyond dire. All the teams have so much money that the focus has been stockpiling talent. So, the league has naturally put a premium on fitness and set pieces when the margins are tiny. It’s woeful to watch.
