Time for some 2 am mega brand canned sardines

I have laid awake at night knowing the feeling of want, of starvation, eat away at my stomach lining because I made sure my children had food. I watched my father—lying that he had eaten at work—sneak into the kitchen at midnight to eat the scraps left on our plates because there wasn't enough food for all of us. So, then, I beg your forgiveness if I have neither time, patience, nor even the base recognition of personhood, and if I have nothing but contempt and vitriol for the self-acclaimed parents, the false "Patriots", who clap like seals at the suffering of their children. To see your children starve and suffer the indignation of poverty, yet joyously applaud is the greatest sin one can possibly commit. I grew up in the strongest economy known on God's green Earth, unrivaled before and since. My children do not live in that economy. My family fought on both sides of the Revolution, on both sides of the Civil War, because each believed they were fighting to build Jerusalem in America—that their children would live in the Gardens of Babylon that they dreamed of. What they didn't do was pull the rug out from under their youth to sell away to the highest foreign bidder and mock their fate. The mark of Cain will adorn all of their arms, an albatross will chock each of their necks, and—in God's good time—they will see their wickedness punished.
