@nhanha_nd Malawians are literal idiots for doing this to Tanzanians. You can't do this to your neighbours

Tanzanian undocumented migrants in South Africa attempted to join a group of Malawians gathered in Sherwood. However, they were turned away by the Malawians, who advised them to find their own gathering place. The Malawians explained that the Sherwood gathering was their own initiative, and they did not want non-Malawians competing for the resources provided by local sympathisers/Samaritans and other organisations

I can’t speak for the entire country, but I can speak for my own backyard. My baseball-obsessed 7 year old hasn’t ever so much as touched a soccer ball in his life and now he’s spending his evenings out here pretending he’s Flo Balogun. I don’t think it’s possible to overstate the impact this World Cup will have on this sport’s popularity in America.

Let me Roast Hizi ma embassy za Kifala ! The other day I applied for a visa to a certain country called Canada 🍁 — I think that’s the place President Trump once jokingly referred to as the 51st State. 🤣 The purpose of the trip was simple: drop off my brother’s children who are currently spending their summer holiday in Kenya. Then came the biometrics request. Unfortunately, my schedule within those 30 days was packed. I had two international business trips to China, factory visits, meetings, and production commitments. I simply couldn’t fit it in. Then boom — the refusal letter arrived. Honestly, I laughed. Sometimes the visa process feels like a very sophisticated system for collecting application fees and then generating creative reasons for rejection. Dear Visa Officer, My passport probably has more entry and exit stamps than many applications that cross your desk in a month. The application itself listed visits to multiple first-world countries without a single overstay issue. Secondly, I am not a backpacker looking for greener pastures. I am an entrepreneur running manufacturing operations, retail businesses, and projects that support over 200 livelihoods. My daily responsibility is ensuring factories run, salaries are paid, and customers are served. The notion that I would abandon all that to disappear into Canada and start hiding somewhere in a basement is an illusion that exists only in the imagination of the visa officer. The irony is that many of us travel because business demands it, not because we are looking for an escape route. Anyway, life goes on. The factories are still running. The workers still need their salaries. The customers still need their products. Canada some of us are what your country need as investors not pay check chase !

@MsMacharia Wandia Njoya once said the colonial state was never dismantled and it lives in my head rent free. Every other day she is proven right. The thing with dreadlocks goes all the way back to the state of emergency. The more things change the more they remain the same.

There's so many reports of people cutting their dreadlocks because Kenya Police has been using that as an excuse to extort them. Especially people who commute at night. The speed with which we are regressing as a country is very saddening.
