Harvard believes the next Einstein is already among us. Meet Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski, a quiet theoretical physicist and one of the brightest minds of her generation. At 14, she built a real airplane. At 16, she flew it alone. When MIT rejected her, she sent them a video of the plane she built instead. Their reply: "Start next semester." She later graduated with a perfect GPA, was cited by Stephen Hawking, and turned down offers from Google, Facebook, and Jeff Bezos. Instead of chasing money and fame, she chose to focus on understanding the universe.

The 30 U.S. cities where journalists can drop the state name when referencing them. This map highlights the 30 U.S. cities that can stand alone in AP Style, meaning journalists do not need to include the state name in datelines or many written references. AP Style (Associated Press Style) is a standardized writing guide used across much of journalism, covering rules for dates, titles, numbers, punctuation, capitalization, abbreviations, and geographic references. Under these guidelines, cities like “CHICAGO” or “ATLANTA” can appear without a state abbreviation because they are considered widely recognizable. So instead of writing “CHICAGO, Ill.,” journalists can simply use “CHICAGO.” The selection isn’t based purely on population size. It also reflects national familiarity, frequency in news coverage, and how easily a city can be identified without additional context. That’s why some major cities are excluded, while others like Honolulu, Salt Lake City, and Oklahoma City are included—they are strongly associated with their states and widely understood in national reporting. In AP Style datelines, these approved cities are written in all caps, so a story might begin with “BOSTON –” rather than “BOSTON, Mass. –”.

Calling him a "weirdo" misses what's actually going on. he speaks directly, at his own pace and density, defaulting to the assumption that you can follow his narrative. he doesn't stop to gauge what level the listener is at, whether they need some setup, or whether he should put it a different way. that's not weird. it's a content-centered style rather than a listener-centered one. you see it in a lot of high-iq, high-focus people: the logic in their head is internally consistent, they just don't spend much energy building a bridge for you to walk in.

During the filming of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, 10-year-old Emma Watson wasn’t simply pretending to write during Transfiguration class—she was actually dipping a quill into real ink and writing a personal note. Behind-the-scenes footage preserved by the Huntley Film Archives captured Watson practicing her handwriting at her desk while filming the iconic scene in which Harry and Ron arrive late to Professor McGonagall’s lesson. Despite how difficult feather quills can be to use, the young actress displayed impressively neat cursive handwriting for her age, adding an authentic and charming detail to the scene.

Of course that's his contention. It’s his first time rapping. He just got finished reading some Marxian lyricist , T La Rock probably, he’s gonna be convinced of that until next month when he gets to Super lover cee, then he’s gonna be talking about how the economies of Brooklyn and Chicago were entrepreneurial and capitalist way back in 1740. That's gonna last until next year, he’s gonna be in here regurgitating public enemy talkin’ about, you know, the Pre-revolutionary utopia and the capital forming effects of military mobilization.

The digits 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1, together with the symbol 0, make it possible to write any number. Using this simple set of numerals, one can represent values of any size. This system, known today as the Hindu–Arabic numeral system, was introduced to Europe by Leonardo Fibonacci in the early thirteenth century through a mathematical work that explained its power and efficiency.
