ESP is live, and deNodes is supporting @EspressoSys as a validator, bringing security-first infrastructure to HotShot Proof-of-Stake
Espresso is building a purpose-built base layer for rollups, optimized for fast finality and credible, permissionless security. ESP is the utility token that secures the network through staking, aligning validators, delegators, and builders around resilient consensus and long-term participation.
Tokenomics start with a 3.59B initial supply, with 10% allocated to the community airdrop and fully unlocked at launch. Espresso's staking rewards follow an Ethereum-inspired model, with no fixed maximum supply due to inflationary staking rewards.
Espresso also prioritized distribution quality, not just distribution size. Eligibility spans about 40 paths, includes comprehensive anti-Sybil defenses, and introduces a Holder Score to reward long-term conviction over short-term extraction.
