Great job by @NASCARONFOX Sports with the production of “We’ve Lost Dale Earnhardt.” Anything I asked Dale to do in Dec, Jan., and the weeks leading up to the Daytona 500, he agreed to, within reason.😬 One of my favorites that he did was this group photo right before qualifying taken for a @USATODAY feature. My plan was to have prints framed and have Mr France sign them as a thank you.
Before the start of the race, Dale called me over to his car. He huddled myself and Teresa together and talked about having dinner at their motorhome on Thursday night in Rockingham. Hours later, sadly all hell broke loose.
And those prints - they were made and given to all of those that participated in the photo. A nice remembrance of when all was well.
