80 years since the first @UN meeting in London, the UK partnership with the UN remains vital. As humanitarian crises worsen - like Sudan where millions face brutal fighting and famine - I spoke to @UNReliefChief about how @UNOCHA is delivering lifesaving aid, with UK support.

Shocked and saddened to hear 3 WFP aid workers have been killed by an airstrike in Yabus, Sudan. Famine is spreading & yet Sudan is one of the most dangerous places to be an aid worker. The warring parties must adhere to international humanitarian law and ensure their safety.

Together 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪 have written to the Israeli government to urge action on the unacceptable humanitarian situation in Gaza. Israel must implement @UN's winter plan now: send equipment to guard against cold & flooding, give access to fuel, repair vital infrastructure, and get aid in.

The situation in Gaza is intolerable. With winter setting in, it’s vital that more aid gets in. At the Gaza Humanitarian Conference I announced more support for @UNRWA @WFP and @UNOCHA. We urgently need a ceasefire, the release of all hostages and an end to the suffering.
