🚨 URGENT: Trademark Fraud & DMCA Abuse on Shopify 🚨 TL;DR A known infringer: - Admitted to copying our trademarked IP in an email - Knowingly mislead customers causing brand reputation and financial damage - Hide behind false names, fake pages, and proxy domains - Removed subscription disclaimers, policies, and terms on purpose - Tricks our customers into recurring charges - Cause confusion, complaints & damage to our brand and customers - Filed a false counter-notice to stay online - Then filed a fraudulent DMCA claim to take us down And Shopify has taken no meaningful action — despite overwhelming evidence. I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this but our brand has just been hit with a completely fraudulent DMCA takedown by someone who already admitted to copying our trademark, packaging, and content. We run a legitimate, trademarked brand. We’ve done everything by the book. But instead of being protected, Shopify has allowed a scammer to not only keep operating on their platform they’ve now let them file a takedown against us. This is someone who is running fake ads using our packaging, our branding, and even used domain names that copied our brand name exactly. They were temporarily taken down after we filed a valid DMCA. And instead of accepting that, they filed a false counter-notice, Shopify reinstated their scam site, and today they escalated it even further by filing a false DMCA against us. They are actively misleading customers. There are no subscription disclaimers, no terms of service, no privacy policy, fraudulent recurring charges, and customer confusion that lands on our doorstep. We’ve had to deal with refund requests and complaints from people we’ve never sold to. It’s exhausting. And yet, despite clear documentation, a written admission, and days of contact, Shopify has taken no meaningful action. This is exactly what scammers rely on, delay and inaction. While real businesses are left cleaning up the mess and explaining to loyal customers how they got scammed. This should never have to happen in the first place. @ShopifySupport @harleyf @tobi this is not a gray area. This is a criminal pattern hosted on your platform. Escalate this. Take it down permanently.
