Why does it seem from a forecasting standpoint that this seems rushed? What is there to gain from putting out a snow accumulations in map form this early?
I'm really trying to wrap my head around this. Even the NWS took the bait. Aggressively so might I add...

Everything behaving as expected today in NEPA... snow pretty much all day. Coating to 1" mainly on grassy surfaces in the valleys, 2-5" in the higher elevations with secondary roads slippery in spots, and 5-8" in the northern Poconos with secondary roads being snow covered.

Two seasons of basketball in the books. Rory loves this game because of his great coaches and teammates. Tonight was a great championship game for the tournament and it was great to celebrate a win against another great team!

Saving this so I can remember that night the Euro model forecast nearly 70” of snow for my house over a 10-day period (in March). This is its forecast for 3 storms counting current one (3/7), weekend (3/11) and next Tuesday (3/14). Never gonna happen but what a run lol🤷♂️🤦♂️

This I gotta see! Sneaky snow band is going to give someone a good 3-6" of snow tonight. I know maps have higher amounts but warm ground will melt some of what falls. Exactly where band sets up is key - it will be VERY narrow. 10 miles can be difference between 6" and nothing.

@DaveSkutnik @JohnWNEP Just like “Christmas can’t come early,” you are not allowed to have winter after March 20. It is spring. A good producer will not allow it. You can have snow in spring, but winter cannot be on March 21. I will change that script. And it’s my show.

Awful lot of “chatter” about sudden stratospheric warming and what it might mean for us in March. Meanwhile - February continues to torch.
No one asked, by my two cents is expect a very delayed spring. More like this “winter” continued followed by Insta-summer.
