When I was younger, I never heard about anybody going to therapy unless they were a war veteran or victim of some horrific crime. And people were saner and better regulated back then. I'm not convinced modern therapy helps most people. The opposite is possible.

I was on the phone with the IRS today. I need a document from them. They asked me for my fax number. Told them I’ve never used a fax machine. They said they have to send the document in the mail and I’d receive it in 15-20 business days. People on X have wildly unrealistic expectations about AI adoption. The largest employer in America (the federal government) still can’t email documents to paying customers like me. And in 2040, they’ll still be asking people for their fax number.

@bavedikian They won't email it because emails hang around in servers forever, not good. Fax machines are acceptable because there's usually someone to receive it (you) and there's only the one copy. Failing that it's snail mail. This is for your benefit.
