ChatGPT is the modern version of Flaubert's "Dictionary of Received Ideas" (Dictionnaire des idées reçues), that is, a powerful cliché parroting engine. And, as they say in trading: "what most people know isn't worth knowing."

I'd be interested to know what's the split of attention between the 2, I guess the prize goes to GPT because of it's feat of looking sentient. Still in the context of media, which occupies a large part of our lives, Midjourney seems to be a lot more applicable. Check this out

Looking at AI demos out there, feels to me that generative models applied to software development are mostly shifting the Pareto principle from 80/20 to 95/5 with very limited gains in overall time to delivery. Happy to be contradicted and see fast paths to production.
