@Elijah_Meeks Not sure the dots work for this viz.
Have you tried stripes?
English
@lauriewired Bet it’s still some 8051 from decades of production
English
@lauriewired I’ve heard that DNA is quite reliable for programming. Something about error correction and easy replication

@kurtbuhler My 9yo daughter also does real-world data science tasks. And I must admit quite successfully.
But I would let her take over my work.

Databricks genie code: databricks.com/blog/introduci…
Databricks' in-house agent harness? Looks interesting, but I wonder how actual performance compares to a coding agent with the ai dev kit / custom skills? The success-rate on "real-world data science tasks" needs more clarity...

English
@Elijah_Meeks Tried searching it on ieee vis, and it's one of the most text-heavy websites.
The irony.

analytics as code, everything inside github

@Elijah_Meeks This viz will fit perfectly with the latest balance sheet data I was analysing

I’m not being absolutist here.
You still need dashboards to fly planes and review KPIs.
But many of the BI dashboards we’re building today are already built on legacy thinking.
When agent flows serve as the interface, static GUIs matter much less.
If my agent can run XPerf traces better than I can, why am I still maintaining SQL Profiler?
English

@igocrite I don't think IDEs are going away per se, but I think they'll certainly atomize into something different from what we see today. I think dashboards and "tailored" viz stay, yes... but not in same volume or format. Otherwise (G)UI as a whole "goes away"... bit naive pov imo.
English
@kurtbuhler So IDEs are going away, but dashboard stay?
Doubt it
English

@igocrite Nah. Dashboards and a common source of truth that still leverages visual biases and preattentive attributes is essential.
I think SSBI dashboards made with gui will become irrelevant tho.

Today, Zebra BI enters a new chapter.
Richard Cooper joins as our CEO, bringing the leadership to drive our global expansion and accelerate what we're building with Zebra AI.
This moment is built on 11 years of founder-led growth under Andrej Lapajne. He created something that thousands of teams around the world now rely on to make better decisions, faster.
Andrej transitions into the role of Founder & Chief Product Strategist and remains Chairman of the Board. His vision continues to shape where Zebra BI is headed. Thank you for 11 years of building, believing, and never settling. The company you built made this next chapter possible.
We're excited for what comes next. ✨

Can we take a moment to appreciate the #dataviz at the #Olympics2026
Those tiny on-screen data widgets make the sports so much easier to understand for everyone.

@duckdb was added to the wall of fame of CWI, next to Dijkstra’s shortest path algorithm, the Atlantic Crossing of the internet and the creation of the Python programming language.
On the occasion of our 80th (believe it or not) birthday.
Congrats to Hannes and Mark!
