Augment Code (@augmentcode) and Opencode (@opencode) are now available in Zed. 🎉 Both agents run natively through ACP. Install them in seconds from the extensions store and use them alongside Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Codex.

One of the best use cases for multiple base models is just getting a "second pair of eyes" on some work: Have one build something, and another review it/fix a bug the other didn't see
MACHO Δ@MachoXV

Brief thoughts on @augmentcode : > Augment's output is much more accurate than Cursor & Cline/Kilo/etc. > Aug's Claude 4 is great for building 90% of the project > Aug's GPT5 is superb at spotting the finer details of that last difficult 10% > Enhanced prompt is MAGIC ✨

Advanced users of @augmentcode have been hitting the 200K context limit quite a bit. We shipped features like context compression/summarization to help alleviate such issues and continue long threads. With 1M context, we will be able to have agents do hours of work in 1 thread.
Claude@claudeai

Claude Sonnet 4 now supports 1 million tokens of context on the Anthropic API—a 5x increase. Process over 75,000 lines of code or hundreds of documents in a single request.

I just finished my last week at Replit. It's a bittersweet moment: the team is incredible and the business is growing at an astonishing pace. I'm sad to move on, but I'm switching to something that's personally very exciting for me - more soon!

Tried Claude Code and Augment this last week and all I can say is that Claude Code is great but.. it cannot handle huge context, @augmentcode does it very well. Good job! I will use these both. Canceled my Cursor sub.

This is pretty cool. By implementing my sequential thinking MCP, Augment Code achieved the top SWE-bench score of 65.4%. Glad my opensource contribution is helping move the space forward.

I can 100% confirm this. Cursor is a toy compared to Augment Code. Once I tried it, I knew nothing else compares. It also excels in planning. It can write out a complete backlog with a dozen PBIs, each with more than a dozen tasks, without running out of context size. I’m using a handoff protocol that I’ve embedded in the custom settings, which allows me to go from one context session to the next without issues. For me, it’s by far the best agent-based coding solution.

@insprd While this feature is a great addition from Augment's engineering team, your support personnel should have similar task list and tracking for the ticket and support e-mails, as of now Augment Code's support is like a blackhole.

@augmentcode doesn't support multi-agents yet. But in VS Code you can just duplicate your workspace so you have at least two agents you can work on in parallel. Just make sure don't work on the same files so the agents don't conflict each other. Happy coding!

@augmentcode context engine is generations ahead of anything else out there. I tested the initial project setup and indexing using @claude_code ide extension and did the same test using @augmentcode. @claude_code - averages 1:35 minutes to analyze. Ran 2x because the first analysis missed some key project specific requirement. @augmentcode - 5 seconds and the analysis was flawless on the first run.

when I chain together prompts and responses it overwrites the prompt i have in the box with some random stuff - is there a way to turn that off - I want each prompt step to be pre-defined. This currently feels like chaos. would also be cool if I could setup a whole bunch of steps and have the first box trigger the whole chain like dominoes.

I don’t think the next big leap in software productivity comes from “vibe coding.” It comes from removing the grind in real codebases.@AugmentCode’s new Remote Agent tackles flaky tests, stale docs & tedious refactors—with up to 10 autonomous agents. Learn more: augmentcode.com
