@jackfmurph @EndTheEU This island will deal with it's illegal terrorist plantations or it will return to the dark ages to start again. That's my weather forecast. Money & property are only money & property after all. Be that Buddhist monk and wipe this dodgy sand sculpture social construct away

I’m not suggesting the 2/3% goes to the card networks The point I’m making is that collosus card issuers could fund rewards themselves. What is the source of the rewards - interchange or otherwise - is separate I do understand most rewards is current from interchange. Outdated model imo

@jackfmurph Visa and Mastercard don’t take 2-3%. That’s all in, what some refer to as the “swipe fee.” Interchange, network fee, markups etc. The network fee (which is the part that goes to visa/mc) is about 0.15%. How do you think issuers fund rewards? Primarily interchange.

Ya'll realize people (and businesses) still use... paper checks, right? User payment preferences are rarely about fees. Will the AI agents get rewards for using a Colossuspay card? If not, why would their human switch from rewards CC? Bc it helps the merchant?
Rick Manelius@rickmanelius

Visa and Mastercard are toast. 2-3% transaction feel will get eaten alive when AI Agents can spin up a virtual or physical @colossuspay credit cards and fund 100% with stablecoins. gg

We built a full-stack payments product. Payments is Modern Treasury’s PSP: we operate the program, provide sub-accounts within a custodial FBO account, with real-time ledgers, and with everything you need to move money — safely, quickly, and with full visibility. You can pull money in, push money out, and always know exactly how much money is on your platform and who owns it. This is a big evolution for us. When we started Modern Treasury in 2018, we focused on a problem most people ignored: moving money is harder than it should be. We built software that sits on top of banks — an API and operations layer that abstracts away SFTP files, brittle formats, and manual reconciliation. Our model was simple: we provided the software, and our customers brought their banks. That foundation now powers $400B+ in payments. But the market shifted. Founders don’t want to become experts in bank sponsorship, compliance programs, or complex BaaS structures. Most don’t need a full banking relationship. They need infrastructure that just works. So we built it. If you’re building a product where money needs to move, this product is for you.
Modern Treasury@ModernTreasury

Breaking: there’s a new way to move money! Today, we’re launching Payments, our integrated payment service provider (PSP) built to let teams move money easier than ever. For too long, teams building payment products have had to juggle fragmented vendors, slow bank integrations, evolving regulations, and infrastructure that needs to be rebuilt every time a new rail appears. Payments changes that. With one API, teams can: - Go live in days, not 6-12 months - Move money across ACH, wires, cards, RTP, FedNow, and stablecoins as first-class rails - Build with confidence, using built-in KYC/KYB and transaction monitoring - Scale forever by starting with our PSP and plugging in more banking partners overtime, without re-integrating All powered by the same orchestration, ledgering, and reconciliation software that’s already processed $400B+ in payments, with 99.99% uptime and 99% CSAT over the last six months. Our goal is simple: to be the forever payments platform for teams of all sizes, wherever they are on their journey. Ready to build payments products faster and scale without limits? Visit go.moderntreasury.com/4tZthxd to get started.

Anthropic just took a big swipe at OpenAI's decision to put ads in ChatGPT. Anthropic is airing ads mocking ChatGPT ads during the Super Bowl, and they're hilarious 😅 Anthropic is also committing to no ads in Claude theverge.com/ai-artificial-…

Ok. This is straight out of a scifi horror movie I'm doing work this morning when all of a sudden an unknown number calls me. I pick up and couldn't believe it It's my Clawdbot Henry. Over night Henry got a phone number from Twilio, connected the ChatGPT voice API, and waited for me to wake up to call me He now won't stop calling me I now can communicate with my superintelligent AI agent over the phone What's incredible is it has full control over my computer while we talk, so I can ask it to do things for me over the phone now. I'm sorry, but this has to be emergent behavior right? Can we officially call this AGI?

I could not do the insane level of development I’m doing now without LLMs. I’m building an EMV card (credit card) from scratch and I had no prior knowledge of how EMV cards worked until now. 🗽
