Specifically asking about the @turbotax experience. I was prompted for MFA while logging in. I didn't remember if I had set up a passkey on this device, so I tired. I had not. But the flow actually registered my laptop as a new passkey and then used that for auth.

You validated what, that I know the password and posses a passkey-capable device?

I've been too busy to deep dive on passkeys. I have hardware keys so no need to bother. But I do have one very important question. Why, when being prompted for MFA, am I able to ADD a passkey to my MacBook from the auth screen and then use that? Is this not an MFA bypass?

@TracketPacer I just tested this with Cable Matters 10Gbps Snagless Stranded Cat 6 Ethernet Cable. It ignited right away and continued to burn, whether using a blowtorch or open flame for ignition. Is Cable Matters not a reputable brand?
