We’re old school dedicated film critics a more.. or less useful guide to the quality of a movie than rotten tomatoes?

In the US alone, 120 million cowhides go to the landfill instead of being turned into leather. Nearly 50% of global cowhides also get wasted. This isn't a problem of sourcing, this is a problem of systems. We are incredibly wasteful. Leather and natural materials can't be patented, and that's why Gates and Bezos are knee deep in the Lab Grown market. Don't fool yourself into thinking they're here to help humanity.

@thewoolshire But what about other textile uses? Wouldn't textiles with the properties of polyester (more weather and wear-proof) be beneficial? Furniture, car interiors, a million other commercial uses..

"Rilee Stewart and Brock Goodwin always imagined having several children... But that vision shifted once they settled into their 2,000-sq-foot house with a $3,200 mortgage... They realized that even with one child, they would most likely need more space." nytimes.com/2026/04/26/bus…

Sick people dude… Amanda Leigh Fourez, Illinois, paid thousands of dollars to have others make sexual torture videos involving adult and baby monkeys for people in deranged online chat groups. Known as “animal crush videos,” these depictions show real monkeys being burned alive, having their genitals mutilated, and experiencing other atrocities. ice.gov/news/releases/…

"Iran doesn't have a lot of oil storage capacity and its old reservoirs are not suitable if the country shuts down production. They’ve got old reservoirs that are low pressure, which means it’s much more destructive if they have to shut in production" - Energy Secy Chris Wright

She pleaded guilty April 15 following an ICE @HSINewOrleans and FBI joint investigation.

So I want to show Japan that not everything Car Culture here in the US is great. The past few years, the younger generation have been doing this incredibly stupid thing with cars. They call it a Takeover, where they (takeover) an intersection on the roadways or sometimes even the interstate itself, and do stupid things with cars. These cars are also frequently stolen, and they cause damage with them and run from the police. EVERYONE hates it, especially car people, but it's somewhat hard for the police to put an end to it

@robertskmiles @GaryMarcus “fails less often than a human does” is a terrible metric. We build deterministic software and test it to destruction to ensure it’s 99.99999 reliable . That’s been the basis of every critical application such as accounting payroll and logistics. LLMs can’t get even close.

Time viewing is possible. Time travel is possible but it has to be time/space. If you go back 50 years where you’re standing you would be in space because Earth isn’t there yet. So you have to calculate where it would have been 50 years ago. Exactly. Then you have to survive the gravitational forces required to bend space and time. Think black holes or large gas giants. If you can do that, yes it’s possible. But the last thing a civilization that can do that will give a shit about is fuck g with simpletons on goddam X.

We live in the ruins of a greater civilization

@AndreaAmati9 Not a school bus or even that rural Still a fave
