Just piecing together various different reports here, but— assuming they’re true— it feels like the LA Clippers (if they keep the pick) are going to select Illinois’ Keaton Wagler with the No. 5 pick next Tuesday. The LA Clippers held a workout with Wagler last week, according to Jake Fischer, where he impressed heavily while competing against Kingston Flemings. Granted, it was a workout where the representatives from various teams so it’s not impossible that Brooklyn representatives were present and were able to see what they wanted to see there, but… something else that happened last week: Wagler and his camp cancelled his private workout with the Brooklyn Nets (No. 6) who own the pick directly after LA (No. 5). When you align those events in that order and kinda step back to look at the bigger picture, you could infer/conclude that LA came away from that workout and extended a promise to Wagler. Could be something. Could be nothing. Just thinking out loud and connecting potential dots that might not be connected at all lol

We have a special Mock Draft 3.5 on @ClutchPoints, featuring SIX trades that could shake up next week's 2026 NBA Draft. Giannis finally moves on from the Bucks, along with deals involving the Warriors, Hawks, Mavs, Thunder, Nets, and more ⬇️clutchpoints.com/nba/nba-storie…

A potential three-team Giannis Antetokounmpo framework involving the Bucks, Celtics and Clippers: Boston: Giannis, Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez Milwaukee: No. 5, No. 27, Hugo Gonzalez, Isaiah Jackson, Derrick Jones Jr., Bogdan Bogdanovic, Future 1st (via Boston) LA: Jaylen Brown

Bill Simmons on the Clippers being a facilitator to get Giannis to Boston, and Kawhi ending up in Miami: “I heard this too during the weekend. Could the Clippers with the 5th pick move in there and be the 3rd team and then the 2nd piece of this, would they then send Kawhi to Miami as a consolation prize?”

@khrisody The FO of our team lacks some sharp perception of the core components to be a real contender in this era, which explains why they signed a group of vets last year's off-season.

The Clippers are emerging as a potential third team for Jaylen Brown in Giannis Antetokounmpo trade talks, with a deal that would send the No. 5 pick to Milwaukee, per @GrantAfseth “A potential multi-team trade framework making the rounds in league circles would bring Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Boston Celtics and send Jaylen Brown to the Los Angeles Clippers, with the Clippers’ No. 5 overall pick going to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the return, sources told Dallas Hoops Journal.” (Via dallashoopsjournal.com/p/jaylen-brown…)

REPORT: The San Antonio Spurs are expected to shown interest in John Collins once free agency opens, per sources
