A Young Earth Perspective on "The Story of Everything"
I just watched The Story of Everything… and honestly, it’s really well done.
It takes on ONE of the biggest questions in every culture. Where did everything come from?
The film does a great job showing what more and more scientists are admitting: life doesn’t look like an accident and Evolution doesn’t look like the mechanism.
The complexity of the cell. The information in DNA. The fine-tuning of the universe.
“Random chance” just doesn’t cut it anymore.
And I genuinely appreciate any film willing to say that.
But here’s where I found myself a little frustrated…
The film points to a designer, but stops short of asking the most important question: Who is that designer?
Because if there is a creator, then we’re left with only a few options:
1. Did He create everything for no reason?
2. Did He create it for a reason but never tell us?
3. Or did He create it for a reason and reveal it to mankind?
When you look at the intentionality in creation, it’s hard to believe this was all done… without purpose, or without communication.
Creation points to God.
But it doesn’t tell the whole story.
That’s why this conversation can’t stop at design, it has to start with it! We must get to the truth.
To what the Creator has actually said.
So yes—go see the film. It’s worth it.
But don’t stop there.
