@SMS3504 This is so fucking stupid on so many fucking levels.
1. It only includes income tax.
2. It doesn't include wealth.
Stop being a fucking sheep. Bahh fucking bahh.

@lesbeyonsay The fact that she's given so much and homelessness still exists really puts into perspective how the arguments in favor of a wealth tax are just bs, ftfy.

the fact that she's given so much and has not run out of money really puts into perspective how the arguments against a wealth tax on billionaires are just bs

Jeff Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie Scott has given over $26,300,000,000 to charity, making her one of the biggest individual donors in history. She wants to spend the majority of her Bezos fortune on helping others and making the world a better place.

@lindaAKAMatron @hell_line0 The 3rd class men who were locked up also were victimized. The fact that they had genitalia in common with the victimizers doesn't change that.
English

@john35092 @hell_line0 Who locked the 3rd class passengers on the lower decks?
It sure as hell wasn't women!

It was a men who engineered that ship. It was men who decided to cut corners. To short the welds..it was men who decided that they wouldn’t supply enough life rafts to hold everyone, and It was men who ignored nine separate warnings that they were drifting into a massive ice field.
Why do men like you always play the victim to situations that men create?

73% of women on the Titanic survived. Only 19% of men did. That wasn't equality. That was men accepting situation so women and children could live. Modern people mock masculinity… while standing on the graves of men who practiced it.

There've been sensational news stories lately about gay men who abused kids they adopted, and people are rightly troubled by them. abcnews.com/Politics/pete-…
But making accusations of s*xual abuse against parents you don't personally know based only on their family makeup is sick.
I have real reservations about men adopting without a woman in the home myself, but you can't go around assuming that every gay couple with kids is abusing them. And if you report abuse to the authorities without any knowledge of the situation or the kids like this, you should go to prison.
I'm not advocating for men to be allowed to acquire kids whenever they want. I'm particularly opposed to the surrogacy industry and the way it is allowing single men - many of whom are likely predators - to buy babies without any vetting.
But what happened to Pete Buttigieg and his husband was wrong. Even if you disagree with them being able to adopt, you can't just accuse them of abusing their kids for that reason alone.

@ZainabSana2622 You people who pretend to believe that all women think that abortion should be legal and all men think it should be illegal should try talking to people outside your usual circle.
English

@GOP_is_Gutless I don't think for a single moment that she believes that. These people want to abolish the electoral college and these attempts to demonize it are a means to that end.

@_lillyluv_ @hell_line0 The father can't do any such thing. He's on the hook for child support unless the mother gives up the child.

@john35092 @hell_line0 either parent can surrender a baby immediately after birth, that isn’t what’s being discussed

@_lillyluv_ @hell_line0 The comment I'm responding to said that men who don't raise children should be arrested for child neglect and claimed that mothers are arrested for that. I pointed out that she's lying

This note on the table would definitely start a conversation.
“If you can afford to dine out, can you afford to tip 30%?”
I understand the point. Servers work hard, and tips can make a big difference, especially with how expensive everything is right now.
But customers are feeling those same prices too.
A meal out already costs more than it used to. By the time you add tax, fees, drinks, and everything else, a 30% tip can feel like a lot — especially if people were already stretching their budget just to enjoy one meal out.
To me, tipping should still be about the service and what someone can reasonably afford, not something people are shamed into.
A generous tip is great when someone can do it. But calling 30% the expectation feels like it may push a lot of people away from dining out altogether.
What do you think — should 30% be the new standard, or is that asking too much from customers?
