@johnbryanesq Why are commenters hating on the arresting officer? He had probable cause for the stop, he's not allowed to ignore a warrant, he identified the subject of the warrant correctly, and his involvement ended when he dropped Mr. Brewer at the jail. Put the blame where it belongs.

NEW: 33-year-old man fatally shot by deputies after grabbing handgun during San Marcos traffic stop (Video went viral but now we have Bodycam) A San Diego County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a red Hyundai Sonata in the 600 block of North Twin Oaks Valley Road shortly after 9 p.m. on February 18 for a vehicle code violation. Registration and VIN checks were inconsistent and the steering column showed damage, suggesting the car may have been stolen. Additional deputies and a Palomar College police officer responded. The 33-year-old male passenger ignored repeated commands, rolled up his window, reached to the floorboard and armed himself with a semiautomatic handgun. Deputies safely removed the 21-year-old female driver from the vehicle. The passenger refused orders to drop the weapon and raised the gun. Five deputies and the officer opened fire, fatally striking him.

@DefiantLs It is *very* difficult to judge someone's speed in your mirror, because you can only look briefly. I tell my kids to never go more than 5-10 mph faster than the cars next to you, even if it's legal. Crashes still hurt if you have the right of way.

@RawbertBeef My daughter had seizures when she was young. People don't realize it's not an everyday thing. It might be weeks or months, then another seizure comes out of the blue just as you let down your guard. They can happen even with no trigger at all.

I hate talking about this but it’s relevant. In 2022, I took my brother (who has epilepsy) to a 3D screening of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and he had a grand mal seizure. He was always fine seeing movies and never had light-induced seizures that I was aware of at that point. +

JUST IN: Man lures cops with fake 911 call, then ambushes them in Bellevue 38-year-old Mohamed Morray Bangura made a bogus 911 call reporting an argument at a transit center, then ambushed responding Bellevue police officers by pulling a kitchen knife and attacking one. Two officers arrived and contacted Bangura, who was wearing a beanie and a surgical mask pulled down. Bodycam video shows Bangura charging an officer, slashing him in the face, and st<>bbing him in the back twice. A second officer fires three rounds, striking Bangura. The officer who was injured has since been released and is recovering. He survived, was treated at Harborview Medical Center, then booked into King County Jail on $5 million bail. He is currently awaiting a competency evaluation.
