@SajSadiqCricket @mirzaiqbal80 Absolutely horrendous schedule.. literally grok can make better schedule than this absolute pathetic piece of scheduling.. we have 8 teams for God sake and yet the schedule is teams playing back to back matches and other teams going vacations and taking big rests.

Today's match against Quetta will be Peshawar's 5th match in a week. Meanwhile some teams have organised overseas trips due to no fixtures. The fixture schedule for the PSL is a mess #PSL11 #Cricket

@hazharoon It’s honestly embarrassing. This constant paranoia around IPL needs to stop. Focus on your own product instead of putting foreign players under pressure and making a spectacle of yourself and the country.

Pakistani journalists need to stop asking foreign players to pick between IPL and PSL. It is embarrassing. IPL is miles ahead. No league can compare. We need to focus on trying to become the 2nd best league in the world. & for that we need a lot of work and improvement #PSL #IPL

@hazharoon He has been given chances in T20s but never has he ever lived up to the hype, and honestly the bowling attack he was up against today was very weak, no quality bowler apart from Zampa in Kings lineup, would love to see how he fare up against quality bowling

Never was a fan of Abdul Samad’s inclusion in ODI’s. But he definitely deserves an extended run in T20i’s. He has played so many late order impressive innings of late. 40* off 12 is a crazy innings at the death😳 #PSL

@hazharoon Immensly talented .. but just could not capitalize his chances. That is unfortunate for Pakistan. He has been given enough chances now, he should work hard on his game, before he plays a T20i for Pak

And in that match Pak were just chasing a mere 106 , and before that match we were humiliated against India and USA, and yet he celebrated it as what sort of unbelievable thing he has achieved. I am sick of this mindset , we first need to acknowledge this before we start fixing our system or cricket

Kamran Ghulam has played 33 PSL games. He has a strike rate of 126. Rizwan has played 97 PSL games. He has a strike rate of 128. Enough sample size. These 2 batting in your top 3 is a recipe for disaster. #PSL

What annoys me more is how we still defend that same brand of play. I’ll say it again today. A lot of people will love Farhan, and fair enough, he’s quality. But he’s just an upgraded version of the same issue we’ve had for years. Yes, he hits sixes better, but he still leans towards personal milestones, slows the game at times, and eats up too many dots. He’s a very good player, no doubt, but there’s still a gap between his game and what the team actually needs. I hope he realizes it and make necessary improvements before its too late

Multan Sultans are so much more likeable this year. The new owner is great(previous was good too) but the biggest change is removing anchors. Multan were always so boring to watch because of the ex-captain who’d bat the entire innings for himself. So much nicer now🔥 #PSL

Exactly when Fawad Sarwar said they wouldn’t retain anyone, avoid direct signings, and go all in with a full purse at the auction, it genuinely felt like they meant business, but then they went and directly signed Marnus out of all options, said they don’t believe in a captain by name and want a proper leader, then made him captain anyway, and the auction just made it worse, no proper bowling options, questionable overseas picks, and a middle order as shaky as a house of card

You’re mixing two extremes and presenting them as the only options. 60/6 in 12 overs is obviously bad, but 40/0 in 6 overs isn’t something to celebrate either. That’s exactly the mindset shift we are missing. The first step is to acknowledge what’s wrong. We don’t need reckless hitting, and we definitely don’t need tuk tuk either. That phase is gone. Modern T20 is not about crawling to 160 or 180 and hoping your bowlers defend it. There was a time when 150 felt safe. That time is gone. We lost defending 175 in Dubai against Australia. We lost defending 165 against England. These are not one-off examples, this is a pattern. Look at how other teams play. Look at how England transformed white ball cricket, how they approach even Test cricket now. Look at India’s intent. They are not playing safe cricket hoping things work out. Our issue is deeper. We have accepted mediocrity and then we glorify it. I don’t need tullar, and I don’t need tuk tuk. I need intent, awareness, and the ability to maximize phases of the game. And this mindset shows clearly when after getting humiliated against India and USA in the 2024 World Cup, Rizwan scores a run a ball 50 against Canada while chasing 106 and celebrates as if we won the World Cup. That is not progress. Before talking about styles, the real problem we need to fix is how we think about the game.

@liveleos @hazharoon Pakistan tried this tullar mindset from both ends. It didn't work out for us. 8/10 times we were 60/6 in 12 overs. You want me to share the stats? And also those against assosciate nations. There must be atleast 2 anchors in the team for Pakistan and bowlers that can defend 180

Rawalpindiz lost that game due to Rizwan’s innings. You can’t bat that slowly on these flat pitches. Same things he’s been doing since the start of his career. No progression. Hasn’t tried to improve at all. Very sad to see. He costs his team more games than he wins them.

77 off 25 is poor, no doubt. But acting like the game was already “won 10/10 times” ignores how modern T20 works. 214 isn’t some untouchable total anymore. The game has moved on. When you’re 125/0 in 12, you don’t just “secure” 200+, you push for 230+. That’s where matches are decided now. Also, you can’t ignore how that 125 came. One batter kept the tempo, the other slowed down after the start. That matters just as much as death bowling. Bowling failed at the end, agreed. But batting didn’t fully capitalize either. Both phases cost the game. Blaming only one side is exactly how teams stay stuck.

@liveleos @hazharoon Conceding 77 runs in 25 balls, give this equation to any zimbawe, bangladeshi, USA or any associate team bowlers, they will win you the match from there 10/10 times. How is this an off day? Rizwan should drop both of these iditos from the team

That’s exactly the mindset problem. You’re judging the innings in isolation instead of context. 125/0 in 12 looks great on paper, but T20 isn’t about “good starts” anymore, it’s about maximizing phases. Rizwan went from 20 off 9 to 41 off 32 , that slowdown matters. In modern T20, your set batter has to accelerate, not anchor. And let’s be honest, a big chunk of that 125 came from Yasir. Rizwan rotating strike is fine, but when you’re set, you’re expected to dominate, not just survive. Yes, bowlers collapsing at the end is unacceptable, no debate. But that doesn’t make the batting above par. Both things can be true. The real issue? Accountability. Rizwan is quick to point at bowling, but rarely reflects on his own tempo. You don’t improve unless you acknowledge that.

@liveleos @hazharoon Opening partnership was of 125/0 in 12 overs @ RR of 10.41. Rizwan was not hogging the strike, he was rotating it. That's how yoh approach a game. They scored 214 runs. Now bowlers conceded 77 runs in 25 balls. If you concede 3 runs every ball, its still 75 runs.
