We got to our Airbnb at midnight and apparently got a message from the owners at 12:30 am that we didn't see until this morning. They're saying we're over capacity even though we booked for 2 adults and 10 kids in this 4 bedroom house. They said the capacity is 8 even though that's not on the listing and they assumed our booking of 10 kids was a typo because when they messaged to ask if it was a family or unrelated people when we booked we said family and they assumed no families have ten kids. 🙃 My husband is meeting with the guy to talk, happy vacation y'all!

Annoyed citizen post - Rocky Mountain Power just shut down power to my house for another “planned outage” that I was never informed of. We had the same thing about a month ago which they did inform me of ahead of time, but this time no such notification came to my knowledge. Power went offline right at 11 pm. I’ve never had this occur in any other locale I’ve lived at & now we have it happening frequently here in Saratoga Springs. May this be the last time for a long while I hope @RMP_Utah

With the tithing discourse online surrounding the LDS church I can't help but think about when Elder Bednar spoke at ASU. He was asked why we haven't received more scripture or teachings. He said, “Do you think I want to keep teaching about tithing or the law of chastity? I would love to share more things with you, but until you listen to what we are teaching, now we cannot share more with you.” If we can't figure out or follow the simple stuff like tithing we won't receive more of the blessings and truths God has in store for us. Tithing is not about the money. It is about faith. And it is not a new principle. Malachi 3:10 says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Those sound like blessings I'd love to qualify for! I also love the principle of tithing because it is one of the commandments we can obey perfectly. Most commandments are much harder to be consistent at. I know the Gospel is not about checklists, but it does feel good to know I have at least one commandment down 😅 Hope you are seeing the blessings of tithing too!

My kids aren’t allowed to have candy on Easter or Halloween. Horrific for them and a terrible habit. If they are good all day they get flavored yogurt (normally get regular) as a bedtime snack. I tell them it’s ice cream (they’ve never had it). Raise disciplined kids.

I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.
