Homelander is very much the villain. The series makes it clear he’s a man-child with unchecked power, zero accountability, and a growing disregard for human life. The real point of The Boys is that power without restraint or empathy inevitably becomes abuse. You can understand his trauma, but it doesn’t excuse the harm he caused.
