@Tairmuir Thankyou to all those whose hard work produced and maintained this extraordinary botanical garden and ran the wonderful cafe

@Tairmuir As a post-grad distance learning student at Dundee Uni studying Healthcare law & Ethics a bonus was free entry to these beautiful gardens. I never met any tutors for my course( didn't need to) but had this wonderful space to enjoy whilst my partner was in hospital many times.

Deeply saddened by today’s announcement that Dundee University’s Botanical Gardens will close. For generations, this beautiful space has been a place of learning, tranquillity, and connection with nature. A real loss for Dundee, its students, researchers, and artists.

@moselbucket99 @PaulKohlerSW19 The only reason that the intervention of the doctors is necessary is because our society has decided not to allow people the freedom to terminate their own lives in a reliable and humane way. In the assisted dying process, the patient voluntarily hands over control to the doctor.

As many MPs who voted for it privately conceded, the Assisted Dying Bill had many flaws. I entirely agree with this letter & am bemused it’s being reintroduced unamended. Although not religiously, nor philosophically, opposed to assisted dying I will not support this Bill.

@matthewfarrow19 @Edwina_Currie No. Private schools are not always better. My parents were both in Education as their work. 3 kids. We all three went to state comprehensives in Scotland. One Heart Surgeon, one Professor of Cancer surgery, one Professor of of Global health.

@Edwina_Currie What a waste of an education. Sultana's place could have been given to someone more deserving who would have made better use of it instead of becoming a hateful communist.

@Edwina_Currie Always the same. If you have money to send your child to a private school, do it. That frees up a space in a comprehensive for a family that cannot afford private education.

@Ectobass @PaulKohlerSW19 @RightToLifeUK Sadly this is a major conflict of interest. It will do long lasting harm. I have removed myself from my organs being used after the recent death of a European girl who wanted more time to consider but was pressurised as her organs were pre allocated.

@PaulKohlerSW19 What a profoundly illiberal man you are, wanting to have control over people's bodies in this way.

@softlynia_ Sacrificing as a caregiver is the most difficult thing to do. So, stressful that often the carer dies before the one being cared for. You give up all you have. Often, with no one else taking a turn. Of course, we expect someone will notice, say thank you, care what we give up

When my mum died she left everything equally to me and my two brothers. A third each. Clean, simple, no room for argument. The solicitor said she had been very clear about it. I nodded and signed my name and drove home. Three years before that I had left my job as a practice manager earning £38,000 a year to move back into the house I grew up in and care for her full time. I gave up my flat, my routine, my income, and most of my thirties. My oldest brother lived forty minutes away and visited on alternate Sundays when it suited him. My younger brother lived in Edinburgh and came at Christmas and once in the summer. They both sent flowers on her birthday. They both cried beautifully at the funeral. Nobody suggested the split should reflect any of that. Not the solicitor. Not my brothers. Not a single person who knew the full picture said out loud what the numbers actually meant. And I did not suggest it either, because she was my mother and I did not do it for the money and saying so felt like reducing three years of her life to a transaction.

My Dad has had unexplained severe fatigue,flu-like symptoms & VERY severe cognitive impairment(dementia ruled out) since Covid in '22 Finally getting him to go to a post infectious illness doctor. I'll say it again-the underdiagnosis of #LongCovid in OLDER people is a BIG ISSUE!

@GinabeanartGina Why should doctors carry out the choice for people who want to be killed? And be enforced to do so. Why? This is entirely alien to medicine.

@LostTransport @nmdacosta Really you must not have read properly non are opposed. UK one has the most restrictions and more safeguards than any other that has ever been proposed. Show me an example of propaganda from the pro side? Just FYI Ive been campaigning since I was 16 for the choice.

@tjwb_1 @KarlTurnerMP Didn't harm Princess Catherine of Wales's life did it? Rural school perhaps has produced the most notable member of the younger generation of Royals.

@KarlTurnerMP He can’t go to Marlborough Karl because in the circles they move in it’s a “rural school“ It’s not Eton, Harrow, or Winchester. Kate knows the difference 🤣
