Celebrating Girls in ICT Day 2025 with Action 🦾 : Today, April 24, 2025, as the world celebrates International Girls in ICT Day, WITIN proudly opens the States & Regional Exhibitions of our 2025 National STEM Competition & Exhibitions for Girls under the theme: 🎯 “Innovate for Impact: STEM Solutions for a Sustainable Future.” This year’s celebration is more than symbolic—it marks the beginning of a nationwide transformation. We have already received 228 entries from 25 states spanning all 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Starting this week also, over 250 teachers from secondary schools across Nigeria are undergoing intensive training to mentor girls in developing innovative STEM projects. These educators—empowered through our growing WITIN Girls STEM Clubs—are set to directly impact 125,000 girls over the next two years, with a far-reaching ripple effect in communities nationwide. Our journey is strengthened by remarkable partners. ✅ Top Nigerian Universities have joined as official partners. ✅ The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST), has endorsed this initiative. ✅ Our global recognition through The Nature Award for Inspiring Women in Science AND PRIZE are powering this expansion, helping us reach more girls than ever before.
