@ThomasDrance If they were flying out there every game and losing every OT, you'd complain. Now they actually have a strategy, and are getting results, and you complain.
The #Canucks need to get back to ethical hooping.
This is the city of Bure, the West Coast Express and the Sedins.
Watching this team play 3-on-3 hockey - just cynical figure eights in the neutral zone for minutes on end - is an insult to the hockey tradition of this city.
@Johnny_Canuck69@CanucksArmy If he doesn't change his spots, why did he change from a 100 point player to 50-60 point player? He also showed decline before Bruce got him going again, so there's precedent for him finding his game again.
@CanucksArmy Leopards don't change their spots. EP11.6 is who he is. He betrayed his teammates, betrayed management, betrayed his coaches and most of all, he betrayed us fans....fans who purchased #40 jerseys and merchandise and chanted his name at games.
Absolutely not.
@SteveJackman@DylanTweetin@iamkennethchan What are you blathering on about? Yes, they got support from public funding for their ballpark, but that's pretty normal in the US where teams leverage the public interest into financing private ballparks. They have great fans, a great stadium, and good corporate support.
@DylanTweetin@nelson_c@iamkennethchan the fact Seattle were rescued twice - once by private investors from Nintendo and once by the Washington State government should probably raise some concerns. We'll have to disagree.
BREAKING... Mayor Ken Sim is calling for the launch of a bidding process to bring a Major League Baseball expansion franchise to Vancouver.
"We see an opportunity to position Vancouver as the next home for a franchise." #MLB#bcpoli#vanpolidailyhive.com/vancouver/vanc…
Vance: I certainly think that in some cases it would be best for the Vatican to stick to matters of morality, to stick to matters of what going on in the Catholic Church and let the President to dictating American public policy
@homerj44@RapidResponse47 Its from the calculator they bought with the $15 Trillion of investment his tariffs have brought in to the US....wait it's now $17 trillion.
@davehall1289@ThomasDrance All teams can only offer the same max contracts...the Canucks are in 32nd, and there's no certainty on who's the GM or coach...why would any NCAA free agent come here? Tankin ain't easy.
This is what I’ve been hearing for weeks as well. I held out hope things might change, but @ThomasDrance put that to rest today in The Athletic.
Considering the Abbotsford #Canucks have been running 10 forwards and dressing Christian Felton as their 11th, it’s a tough look. This season may not mean much at this point, but it’s a clear snapshot of the organization’s lack of depth.
Such is life, I suppose.
Canucks have minus-one shots through 9 mins of third period. They had 8 after 40 mins, but stats crew took one away. Shots are 24-7 Knights through 49 mins. In Vancouver.
Honoring Rod’s legacy through leadership on the ice and in the community 💙❤️
Congratulations to J.T. Miller on being named this season’s Mr. Ranger Award Winner → nyrange.rs/41comeY
Thank you, Nathan Rourke.
From day one, you’ve represented the BC Lions and the Canadian Football League with pride, passion, and a love for the game in this country. Now, you’re chasing a new dream.
Wishing you nothing but the best as you step away to focus on pursuing the Olympic stage. 🇨🇦
@ThomasDrance@MatiszJohn I don't think ABS is a data driven initiative...it's about getting the calls right and technology catching up and MLB finally relenting.
@MatiszJohn What, in your opinion, could be hockey’s version of baseball’s Automated Ball-Strike challenge? A leaguewide, data driven initiative that actually enhances the viewer experience game to game? #HockeyHALODataQs
@GrantHorvatGolf Whatever their favorite wedge is, because they'll use that 2-3 more times than every other club. It's my 56 for me, I use it on most shots inside 80 yards off the green.
Wesley Bryan and I got into a heated argument about what the majority of people’s favorite club is.
I will stand firm and say it’s a 7 iron. There’s something about that club that’s very different than an 8 and 6.
Wesley said a driver or 60 degree is the majority favorite.
Who’s right here?
@PitchingNinja Isn't the abs zone designed so it correctly identifies 99% of pitches? But with average 250 pitches per game, that's 2-3 errors per game.
They should not be overturning calls that are less than 0.2 inches off IMHO.
Again, as I've mentioned before, as a lawyer, this hurts my head. The rules should be consistent. A pitch being both a ball and a strike depending what "rule" you use shouldn't be the right answer. 🤣
Make the official strike zone the ABS zone. Or, make ABS use the rulebook zone. One of the two...
Umpire incompetence or a Rulebook/ABS Mismatch issue? 🤔
This pitch may have been both:
-a Strike according the rulebook strike zone (3 dimensional/starting at the front of the plate), and
-a Ball, according to ABS (2 dimensional/measured at the middle of the plate).
@Daddy__Wags@RedWavePress@NorCalPops Because it's managed by each state. That's the constitution. They aren't going after fraud in red states, are they?
@RedWavePress@NorCalPops So they don’t give you the names …. And you issue the blank check anyways…… and yall can’t figure out why they don’t give you the list of names?? 😑
Stephen Miller: “We do NOT know the names of ANY SNAP recipient in the state of Minnesota. We just get a blank check. We have asked the state repeatedly and tried to compel the state unsuccessfully to turn over their SNAP enrollment rolls so we could ascertain such basic facts as, are these people even legally eligible to receive these benefits?”
“And the state has refused, absolutely, categorically refused, and in fact the state has spent millions of dollars in court for the singular purpose of trying to prevent the [federal government] from ascertaining the identity of a single SNAP recipient in the entire state of Minnesota.”
“Think about what this does to public trust, social trust, people's faith in the system program.”
Insanity!
@CREWcrew@GiGicmka Mike Johnson hasn't filed a financial report in years nor has paid a cent in taxes because all his $ is "tithed" to a "church" that he's the sole parishioner of. It's located on a private island in the Gulf.
A month ago, we noted that Jared Kushner’s appointment as special envoy for peace meant he would need to file a financial disclosure so that he could resolve potential conflicts of interest and called on him to proactively divest from Affinity Partners.
He hasn’t.🧵
🚨BREAKING: A crisis is brewing in the U.S. as workers say they can no longer afford gas.
A motorist in AZ said gas is $4.69, one of the highest prices per gallon he’s seen in 27 years. He has to save enough money to get to work and soon may have to walk.

Hot take: when Petey came into the league, he was loose and having fun coming off a SHL championship.
Maybe being around a young group will bring that back out of him.
