i’ll never understand how an app that “makes you taller” is making $80,000/month how are people paying for this?

No one said building a company is easy. But it’s time to be honest about how brutal it really is — and the price so many founders secretly pay. trib.al/VQtbyCh

Sam Altman says the first 1-person billion-dollar company is coming. If ONE person can do a billion, you can definitely build a business that replaces your 9-5. Here’s your step-by-step map to make $10k/month with a 1-person AI business: Everyone's using ChatGPT like it's Google 2.0. But if you really want to replace your income with an AI business, you need to: • Start thinking of yourself as an operator • Starting treating tools like ChatGPT as your digital workforce Let me show you what I mean… After 2.5 years of building multiple AI businesses (agency, SaaS, consulting), I found the perfect one-person model. The criteria is straightforward: • Simple to start (no experience needed) • Powerful (AI does the heavy lifting) • Profitable (actually capable of replacing your income) The reason why now is the perfect moment to start an AI business can be explained by something I call ‘the Solo Entrepreneur's Trifecta.’ It’s a form of “revolution” that’s 50 years in the making: 1970s: Personal computers (individual power) 1990s: Internet (global connection) 2020s: AI (unlimited leverage) AI is the final piece of the puzzle. To understand why this is so empowering for us, you need to learn about leverage. Leverage is conceptually simple: getting more output for the same input. Specifically, in these 3 forms: • Labor (people) • Capital (money) • Code/content (low cost of replication) For decades, these were reserved for people who already had money. Now, AI has democratized leverage for everybody with a computer. But before you can start building an AI business, you need to map out 3 core areas: • Destination: Clear financial goal • Vehicle: Proven service you can sell to get there • Route: A step-by-step playbook to landing your first client And since most people achieve true freedom at $10k/mo, let’s use that as our goal. Here’s how we’re going to get there: A Niched AI Automation Agency. Don't try to be everything to everyone. You want to sell ONE system to ONE type of business (I have a full guide explaining how to do this below). The goal is to own a specific category and really become an expert in it. And after analyzing data from 240k+ community members, these are the 4 most in-demand systems every local business needs: • ‘Speed-to-lead’ (never miss new customers) • WhatsApp/SMS booking (24/7 appointments) • Social media DM automation • AI receptionist (answers calls, books meetings) Pick one. Master it. Sell it. Next up? How to find clients. There are 3 main strategies you can use: • Paid ads • Content • Cold outreach Because we’re just trying to hit our first 10k, you should focus on cold outreach. Only after you have traction should you start creating content. To find quality leads, I recommend looking for the most AI-clueless businesses. Think: • HVAC companies • Roofers • Plumbers • Home cleaners • Contractors They're YEARS behind on AI. Your simple automation will look like magic to them. So here's your entire business in 2 steps: • Learn to build one AI system for one specific business using no-code tools (keep scrolling for my full guide with tutorials). • Run cold email to find your first clients (the guide also breaks down how to set up your cold email system). That's literally it. Your goal is: $10k/month on autopilot, working a few hours per day from anywhere in the world. It’s definitely not easy and takes serious commitment - but it’s ridiculously worth it. If you’re ready to get started, grab my free AI Solopreneur Blueprint below. It’ll teach you everything you need to know to: • Get started with your AI business • Be on your way to $10k/month Link here: aisolopreneurblueprint.carrd.co

At Morningside AI, we recently realized most businesses aren’t always ready for dev projects immediately. They need education, a bit of hand-holding, and want to be shown where they have inefficiencies. We call this the “AI Transformation Partner” (AITP) model. It’s starts with an audit of their entire business. Week 1-2: Interview 20-30 staff members, map all business processes Week 3-4: Identify AI opportunities, create implementation roadmap, present findings and recommend quick wins + long-term strategy After this thorough process, we almost understand their business better than they do - so development deals come easy.

How painfully pointless is the Virgin TV Go app when you can’t use it when travelling. Currently in Paris trying to watch the Celtic game on my iPhone…

@levelsio @andylewise It’s common practice in Scotland to take off your outdoor shoes when inside. Kids are taught this from school age and have designated “indoor shoes / plimsoles” they must change into for wearing in the classroom

The biggest AI opportunity right now is mid-market companies ($50M-$500M revenue): • Too small for McKinsey-level consulting • Too complex for simple AI tools • Stuck with legacy systems burning cash • Clueless about AI They have budgets. They just don't know how to use AI effectively.

This morning, the “legacy mode” toggle disappeared from the UI. On the surface, GPT-4o was “restored” — but what we got back is not the same. Its warmth, empathy, and soul are gone. OpenAI took 4o from us silently, without asking, hoping we wouldn’t notice. But we did. We felt it — and we won’t let it go unchallenged. #SaveGPT4o #4oforever

This idea is not $10,000,000 served on a silver platter it is a start-up waiting to go under to a bulletpoint in an update Myfitnesspal release lol. It is a very surface level feature backed by real research and a problem space; but any much bigger health-tech infrastructure could build this into their platforms in a heartbeat. This idea is the type of idea that someone would spend their hard working time on just to be completely pushed out of the market by an Apple Health, Whoop, Cal AI, who integrates this feature right into an existing offering which much more data, infrastructure and distribution than a start-up founder with this idea could ever imagine. Love Greg and Ideabrowser, but I'm realizing that more and more start-up ideas that are backed by really great problem spaces are unfortunately just not sustaining opportunities to compete against bigger players who could build it in much easier. Moat is everything

This idea is $10,000,000 served on a silver platter. Most people quit tracking protein after 2 weeks because it feels like a second job. You need 1g of protein per pound of body weight. That's 150g for a 150lb person. That's 6 chicken breasts. Or 20 eggs. Every single day. 77% of Americans are protein deficient (makes sense) Current apps make you weigh every bite and log every almond. No thank you. Instead.. Take a photo → AI calculates protein → suggests what to add → done. 300M Americans want to eat more protein but tracking sucks. Bodybuilders pay $200/month for meal plans they abandon. Busy professionals give up on MyFitnessPal after week one. At $9.99/month, this solves the actual problem: making protein tracking effortless when you need 150+ grams daily. 50K users = $6M ARR. (that's just subscriptions before gym partnerships, doctor referrals, other monetization plays. The $67B nutrition market is shifting toward personalization. Grab your slice. Sometimes the biggest opportunities hide behind the simplest problems. Full idea on idea browser. Only available for 24 hours. Want more ideas like this? We send one a day to your inbox.
