@deaflibertarian Yet they don’t ask, “Do you have your cleaning supplies locked away? Do you keep your car keys secure where your kids can’t get them and take it for a joy ride?” Etc etc etc.

@DisaffectedPod You clearly do not have sensory issues nor live with someone who does. My daughter would literally starve rather than forcibly eat certain things. We tried all kinds of things through the years. She has gone nearly 24 hours without eating, by choice

Your children are "picky eaters" because of you. Yes, you, the parent. No. It's not true that "through all of history, children were very picky, and families always had to find extra meals they liked. Every era, no matter how poor, had their version of chicken nuggets for kids." This is not true. This is your fault as a parent. You don't have to cater to this and enable it, yet almost all of you do.

@VascoDG2 @DefiyantlyFree I would encourage you to serve as a poll watcher or poll worker, then you can see how the process works. It’s very educational.

@DefiyantlyFree Do you trust the people in charge of checking/verifying the IDs? Which ID is acceptable and which is not? What criminal penalty would a "checker" suffer by letting people vote who shouldn't?

If I need to show my ID to get Sudafed at Walgreens, you need to show your ID to vote. If Florida and Texas can count and report vote totals the night of, so can every single other place.

@deaflibertarian Son has special needs. Told him “You could probably live off the system - but you won’t. You WILL be a contributing member of society.” He works a good job, pays taxes, budgets. Doing great. People live up - or down - to our expectations of them.

@DutchRojas @unheardparent I used to belong to a membership-type of doctor. He had agreements with various providers so it was cheaper for me to pay cash for a bone density scan than pay the deductible through my insurance.

Here’s a puzzle: Why does health insurance work so differently from every other kind of insurance? Your car insurance doesn’t pay for oil changes. Your homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover paint. Insurance is supposed to protect against catastrophic, unpredictable costs. But we’ve built a system where insurance pays for everything, routine visits, predictable care, all of it. This divorces the consumer from the cost. Nobody asks what anything costs because nobody directly pays. The result? Premiums rise. Deductibles rise. Coverage narrows. We’ve turned insurance into a wildly inefficient payment system. What if we returned to actual insurance, catastrophic coverage, and let people pay directly for routine care? Suddenly doctors and health systems would compete on price. Patients would shop around. We’d see the same price drops we see everywhere else competition exists.

@BasedTorba Was home sick in bed for 9 months when I was 9 years old. Had a tutor come twice/week for 45 minutes each time. Easily kept up with my 4th grade class and entered 5th grade, no problem. That’s when I realized what a waste of time the school day is, and this was back in 1969-70.

When you start homeschooling and you see how much you get done and how quickly your kids learn in very little time you quickly come to the realization that public school is essentially a glorified daycare center.

To people with "trans kids," Look, your toddler's fine, alright? You’re just a lousy parent, and you should be locked up for child abuse. So disgusted with seeing grown adults lie and say "they knew they were trans at 2 years old" NO THEY DIDN'T YOU SICK ARSEHOLE

I showed this to my 21 and 23-year-old sons, and they said no one they know this age texts like this. They said, "Mom, this is how you text". Do you know any 22-year-olds who text other kids like this? They don't use complete sentences with correct punctuation.

@robbystarbuck It’s also about how can you trust your safety (or your children’s) with people who say these things. For instance, cops have been fired for posts because ppl question their safety and fairness when these kinds of things are said.

Anyone pretending free speech is under attack because we’re getting horrible people fired is either a liar or an idiot. Free speech is under attack because a leftist shot the symbol of free speech in America. Workplaces have codes of conduct. People who violate them are fired. These demons are still free to say whatever horrible stuff they want to say. Workplaces don’t have to allow you to drag them down into the pits of hell with you.

Ok, so for the past few days, younger people have been on this platform whining because they don't have any money, can't buy a house, working too hard, etc. I truly am sorry that you guys are experiencing this. I know that some are blaming boomers and saying it's because we were selfish, we have no idea what it's like, etc. I want to give an honest opinion. First of all, let's stop with generational blame. Everyone is just trying to live their life. And life is hard. Period. Secondly, I agree that housing has gotten ridiculously expensive. Time to get a few roommates or rent a room from your family. Thirdly, most of us also struggled when we were starting out. There are ways to save. Little things really add up... no professional services (like hairstylists, tattoos, eyebrows, nails), no coffee except what you make at home, no restaurants, only a small entertainment budget, etc. If you are not willing to do this, then you will never be able to manage your money when you finally get it. And last of all, we are rooting for you to succeed. The posts on X are fun, but I personally really do want you to be successful in life! The end.
