“The wallaby is currently on a legal hold and is being housed at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Long Island. It is inappropriate and inhumane to force a wild animal to live as a pet in a densely populated city, and there are no approved rabies vaccinations for wallabies or other marsupials. For these reasons it is illegal to keep a wallaby in New York City.”

After receiving reports of an individual with a Wallaby on the Coney Island Boardwalk last night, officers from the @NYPD60Pct responded & rescued the animal, giving it to the @NYCACC. The individual received a summons for "possession of a wild marsupial."

"In the Care Centers, Dart has been observed to be friendly with familiar handlers but reactive with other staff." /1long overdue update! we did the next MRI to see how the new chemo worked. It really didnt do anything. You can see from the attached picture where we are at. That little spot back in Jan had grown to the next one, and then if you look at the last one it is bigger.

So proud of the work we are doing for our great city!

One fur-tunate feline is recovering today after being rescued from a subway tunnel, where she was found tangled in a feather boa. Bugle the cat is now at the @NYCACC, where she is waiting for her forever home. #MorningsOn1
