Ich habe Corona. #LongCovid seit Okt. 2020 #smallfiberneuropathie an jeder Körperstelle Was mache ich jetzt? Gliederschmerzen, Schüttelfrost usw. habe ich sowieso täglich. Einziges neues Symptom sind Halsschmerzen. Nur deswegen habe ich einen Test gemacht. Paxlovid?

People who say they’ve recovered from Covid have no idea what’s going on inside their body.
People with HIV thought they’d recovered from a 2-week cold/flu virus until 5-10 years later.

Reminder that, as the variant trackers said from the beginning, the issue with a highly divergent variant like BA.2.86 (Pirola) is if it establishes an *evolving lineage* and picks up additional mutations that make it good at transmission and ACE2 binding, etc.

A new @Nature paper by the Ho lab on the BA.2.86 variant. Its spike has "remarkable high receptor affinity." With the added mutation -> JN.1, that has a step up in growth advantage, as reviewed below, it gets more concerning nature.com/articles/s4158…
