✨📢 Our study is now published! 🧬 Baseline vitamin D status and short-term supplementation were significantly associated with pathological response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, highlighting the interplay between nutritional, inflammatory, and tumor-related factors in breast cancer. 🩸 Markers of systemic inflammation, including CAR and AIP, were inversely associated with treatment response, underscoring the clinical relevance of host-related biology in therapeutic outcomes. 🎯 Together, these findings support vitamin D as a clinically relevant and potentially modifiable predictive biomarker in the neoadjuvant setting. When is enough enough? 🌈 5 years of complete remission on CDK4/6i. 5 years of neutropenia, fatigue, monthly visits. My patient asked the question we rarely ask: “Why continue if there’s no evidence I need to?” We spend years learning WHEN TO START therapy. But we rarely generate evidence for WHEN AND HOW TO DE-ESCALATE. Shared decision-making isn’t comfortable. It lives in the gray area between certainty and uncertainty.
