"Only a few countries"? Name one other auto maker that has autonomy in any country at all that even comes close to FSD. Okay, maybe China but Tesla still leads, even the Chinese admit that. It is so popular for some reason to try and kick below the belt, downplay what Tesla has accomplished here, but of course we have numbtards who constantly lament that Musk doesn't run the company the way they would run it.

@Tesla This was cool back in 2020. We need to see the results now! Yes, FSD is great but only 12% take rate (pathetic) and only in a few countries.

We – design the chips & hardware – make the cars w/ said hardware – collect real-world data at scale – train the real-world AI model – built (& continue to expand) the massive supercomputer cluster that trains it – deploy AI directly to millions of robots on wheels All that is shared with @Tesla_Optimus for broader applications in both the physical & digital world

@moregainzs @Tesla Get back to us in 2030 and explain exactly what Rivian does and is doing. I guarantee you it will still be light years away from what Tesla is "doing", has "done".

So, even before the election we get a hint of what our democracy will look like going forward......new administration, jail, banish, exile all members of the old one. Dems get in....destroy Reps. Reps get in....destroy the Dems. Who cares if the country and its peoples are drowning in that morass as long as we destroy our enemies. So, now we know, one half of Americans think the other half are enemies. Is this really the future we want to build? Is this really the face we want to bring to the world? To our Sunday morning going to church neighbours etc.

I don't know about "amounts" I guess it depends on the size of the centres but even then, we are still left with all the local resistance and negativity. They need to be made aware that this is all mostly whipped up fervour and is pretty much baseless. Easiest way to do that is leave the place in better shape than you found it....i.e. recycle the bloody water!

Invisible Hallucination
@panamabill08 @behaynes1965 @TomLeonard28 Every new business and house adds demands on the water supply. If the demand is significant enough to require more town services, an additional tax on them is reasonable. However their usage is little more than that of a couple of local businesses which don't share that burden.

Google just proposed a new AI data center in Van Buren Township—2.7 gigawatts. That’s right: 2.7 gigawatts, or the equivalent of 2 million homes worth of energy. To power that with solar? 12,000 football fields in solar panels. Why am I the only candidate for governor pushing back? This is absolutely unbelievable.

Economics is in full control now, cheaper installations means cheaper installations and that means we don't need anymore government interventions except of course the elimination of all those Big Oil/FF subsidies that few people talk about. Taxing carbon was a good idea a long time ago but now....too little return on all the investment needed to run the bureaucracy that runs it all.

🇨🇦 - Canada doesn’t need a carbon tax = we have a natural solution which are all our trees The Liberals need the carbon taxes for their corruption and incompetence Other countries don’t have a carbon tax & we shouldn’t either

I'm too old and not smart enough to "play" the market. I have done what Warren Buffet and Peter Lynch....advised...study a company you like and if they have a good plan, good finances, etc. etc. stick with them until things change....long term investing rather than short term trading. No diversification needed! I was up over 30x at a few points and am quite confident TSLA will do that again in the next 5 or so years. Besides, there are tax implications with capital gains that I don't have to worry about either.

I live out in a remote area too but winters here are milder than most of Canada, but still haven't noticed the cold being an issue until my cross country trip. My app would say 10% is enough buffer to reach the next charger and I had to double that to feel safe not dying 50 miles from nowhere and then freezing to death ha! I have run out of gasoline a number of times in my youth so it isn't just EVs ha!

@panamabill08 @TicTocTick Trickle charger works great in the summer, also if you live in town. I live outside of town in the winter takes about 50% of my battery going to and from work. I have the long range model too. I usually charge to 90% but have never gone over 95% even for long range trips.

If you’re not going to go to China, just open up Google Earth. China is building more solar and wind than the rest of the world *combined* and you can literally see it from space.

Australia sells coal to China who use it to generate reliable cheap electricity. Australia takes the money from coal sales and buys Chinese wind turbines and solar panels that aren't reliable and makes expensive electricity. I don't think Australia has thought this through 🤔

Explain to me like I’m five: I’m currently getting 8.4 kW of electricity from my solar panels while only using .5kW, the rest is charging my batteries and going back to the grid (it’s a cloudy day). Why then, are we building an LNG terminal while the main LNG fields are on fire?

Yeah but what about the other 10-20%? What about the other 18 hours in the day? Renewables will never work because they don't work today and that means they never will! There, was that dumbed down enough for all the Big Oil fanboys? EVs and AVs and REs are the future and Tesla has chosen Texas well as the place to birth it all!

The fundamental and crucial problem for Uber, Waymo, and all car manufacturers like Rivian seeking partnerships is that even if they ever achieve autonomous driving as safely, scalably, and readily available everywhere at all times as Tesla Robocabs which is a big if, the main issue is that each partner wants to make a profit and will therefore not be economically competitive. Customers will always choose the lowest price, the best service, and availability, and that's why Robocabs will win hands down. $tsla
RJ Scaringe@RJScaringe

I’m excited to announce a partnership with @Uber. As part of this, Uber plans to invest up to $1.25 billion in Rivian and deploy up to 50,000 R2 robotaxis. This partnership accelerates our path to Level 4 autonomy and supports our goal of building one of the safest autonomous platforms in the world—across both shared and personally owned vehicles. The combination of Rivian’s rapidly growing data flywheel, our in-house RAP1 inference platform (800 TOPS), and our multi-modal perception stack provides a powerful foundation to scale autonomy quickly and responsibly over the next couple of years.

Bernie, Bernie, Bernie! Musk increased the value of Tesla to such a degree that every retail investor and institution needs to own some of it now and has made multiple millionaires...even a few billionaires. I am now comfortably retired with enough income after going bankrupt only 10 years before going all in. TSLA has a market cap of $1.5B today and of that, Musk has only about a 15% stake....the rest, us shareholders own. If you force him to sell any of his shares, the market for TSLA will crash and so will my retirement income. This is far more convoluted than your childish rhetoric would have us believe. You are just a fear monger-er, similar to the ones that ignited the French Revolution and the bloody beheadings of anybody who even looked rich! Is that what you really want? Get real...and human!

Unfortunately too many people need to actually experience it for themselves, we don't trust what others have to say very much anymore. All the way across Canada and back, I found myself thinking the spacing was a little too much on a few of their locations...over 250kms! (150miles)...2+ hours.

Unless you’re driving 500+ miles per day, you don’t need an EV with that much range. The average person drives around 37 miles per day. Current Tesla offerings provide way more than enough for the vast majority of people. On road trips, I can usually only drive about two hours before I need to get out, stretch my legs, etc. During that time, my car charges. It’s not the inconvenience people think it is. It doesn’t make sense to lug around a huge battery when most people don’t actually use that capacity.

When Tesla’s get to 500 miles per charge; I’ll think about one. BTW there’s an app that allows Waze to work. 🙄 #thinkIdontknow? 🥱😑

I don't understand why we let people get away with these types of blatant lies. Even if he would've done what legacy media said "allegedly", it would've been better, but out and out lying needs to be addressed in the courts. At some point, getting in the way of someone choosing to buy the safest car on the road will be cause for manslaughter/murder chargers wouldn't it?
