You nailed it. I've definitely skipped a lot of leg days in my career. I'll try to be better. And thanks for letting me know what a 44yo father of three should prioritize after 25 years of lifting. youtube.com/watch?v=d07Ofa…

@EricCressey @SahilBloom @CresseySP Respectfully, this looks like 2 leg day skippers. Weight training is from the bottom up, not top down. Hope you find more balance there. 👍✌️

@pwareham @canadian_eh_aye @YoniFreedhoff Most likely the 'ignored' kind.
Supported by the strong self belief of being unique and special.

@canadian_eh_aye @YoniFreedhoff What kind of medical advice are they getting from their doctor if they are surprised what happens when they stop?
English

It's only effective while you are on it, stop the dosage and so will your hunger and weight - unless you also make the necessary lifestyle changes.

Whispers are that generic ozempic at 1mg/wk will cost Canadians $78/month. Factor in food savings costs (consequent to decreased hunger and cravings and enhanced fullness) and more like $50/month. 1mg definitely enough to provide most with benefit though some def. need higher.

@Toohey_sp Squat, hinge, push, pull -> treat these with the same level and attention you do any other sports skill and it will be amazing at how much else 'magicaly' gets so much better.
👏

@Toohey_sp Maybe Mother Nature
is trying to tell us something? 🤔

@drjasonfung @LoreofRunning1 Excess energy intake coupled with inadequate physical activity -> what is incorrect about this statement as it relates to obesity?

This makes alot of sense to me. To my mind, WB is heavily influenced by hoop stress - if the root is damaged / circumfrential fibers thst compromises hoop stress and requires gradual WB, but not 0.
I explain to people that collagen during healing initially looks like a bowl of spaghetti and you need force to get fibers to properly align.
I've always felt that with healing, force application needs to follow the goldilocks principle - just right. 😊
Force can be by load AND by range -> both need to be considered.

@ABDanielleSmith As a father of 2 young ladies, I fully support this.
Female sports are not a place for failed male athletes.
English

Women and girls have the right to play competitive sports in a safe and fair environment against other biological females.
This view is held by a vast majority of Albertans and Canadians. It is also common sense and common decency.
Skate Canada‘s refusal to hold events in Alberta because we choose to protect women and girls in sport is disgraceful.
We expect they will apologize and adjust their policies once they realize they are not only compromising the fairness and safety of their athletes, but are also offside with the international community, including the International Olympic Committee, which is moving in the same direction as Alberta.

@ominti7812 @sam_gzstrength Factual - deadlift is dangerous is factual? 😅🤣😂
English

@sam_gzstrength Kinda sad that, in response to a factual argument, you just call names and think it’s a flex.
Anyways, carry on with this advice - a boon for orthopedic surgeons for almost no upside for your clients relative to safer lifts.
English

@sam_gzstrength The risk to reward of a deadlift is horrible at all levels of experience.
It’s by far the highest risk lift for tears and serious back injuries, and involves atrocious ROM, spinal loading, and fatigue to boot.
English

@nonduality @FitFounder No, no it's not.
Strength is an adaptation of neurology.
Cardio is an adaptation of physiology.
English

@FitFounder Cardio is basically weight training for the legs. If that's all you do, the rest of your muscles will weaken and what good is that? Weight training is more important than cardio. Of course, you can do both.
English

@StrengthDebates Mechanics are similar yes.
But squat uses stretch shortening cycle
Deadlift, including Trap bar require starting strength.
Those two are different.
