📷 by @phlbikeaction: We are happy to announce that Laser Vision is now directly integrated with the PPA's reporting software! Previously your reports were submitted via a browser automation "robot" 🤖 , but now they are submitted directly via API. What's this mean? It means reports are submitted 10x faster (a few seconds versus nearly a minute) and use fewer of our resources. We are also able to store a service request id for follow up on how reports are handled. Thanks to @philaparking staff who built the API and supported us in integrating!

Lancaster Avenue has featured on every iteration of the high-injury network since 2017. Despite the obvious dangers, Philadelphia leadership and @PennDOTNews, the agency that controls Lancaster Ave, have yet to make any real improvements to prioritize safety.

Lancaster Ave has an inherently dangerous design for an urban setting: wide lanes with an unprotected bike lane often being used as a shoulder. This type of design promotes speeding and makes the corridor unsafe for everybody.

June Rodriguez, a beloved friend and DJ in Philly, was killed in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and 56th Street on Dec 20. If you have any information, please call the police.

Can @PhillyPolice & @PhillyMayor ask officers to keep the new City Hall bike lane clear? Penn Square is not a place where you want people on bikes to have to go out into mixed traffic!
