@TheCinesthetic Remember it well. Saw it in the largest non-IMAX screen in the UK (at the time, approx 20m wide) which was also THX certified. Some much bigger screens around now.

Imagine sitting in a theatre in 1999 & seeing this for the first time.

@mikeasharp @g__j Yesterday, Nottingham to Sheffield in horrendous rain. 4.0 miles/kWh. (Ignore the cost bit - I don’t haven’t tariff programmed in correctly).

@g__j £21 / £0.07 = 300kWh In winter I get 2.1kWh per mile on the motorway. Thats 630 miles. I don’t know anyone that gets 3.33 miles per kWh. If my sums are correct. The email was poorly worded. Bit of a PR own goal.

You can charge 1000 miles a week for £21 . I’d says that’s pretty good value

@RaynRaps @DiscussingFilm UK cinema chain that doesn’t have any 70mm IMAX screens. They do however have some Laser IMAX screens - the ones in London (Leicester Square) and Sheffield are reasonable.
