In my business it is absolutely common to produce images of product variants in lower income countries. You send them glb files and they do some 3D work on them. Now there is AI and it's better and more cost efficient. You combine the GLB image product with NanoBanana.
But you obviously know it better and want to skyrocket marketing budget and propose some unnecessary environmental damage.

Personally think this devalues a brand. Anything that suggests a brand is run by non-experts in that space and involves very little effort in the creation or presentation of the product is bad sign for me. Likely just another generic product sourced from random factory.
