This man cares a lot about our country. Today, he has gone out on a boat with a camera to change the condition of the country. One thing you’ll notice is that he hasn’t let the boatman come into the camera frame, it’s only him.

Lately, I’ve noticed a striking shift in our local CA WhatsApp groups. The usual flood of forwards related to Modi, BJP, RSS, or religious themes has almost disappeared. Even when someone shares a post critical of the Modi or RSS, there’s no backlash or heated debate, just silence. Earlier, even a mildly critical post for Modi or BJP would trigger a barrage of responses, often quite aggressive, now just silence. It’s an interesting change, perhaps a sign that at least educated people like CA’s are becoming more reflective and less reactive. If so, that’s a positive step for a more thoughtful and balanced public discourse. Good for bright future of India 🇮🇳

BJP never knew MP Kangana Ranaut will be such a huge success as a Star Campaigner in Bengal. We will try to bring her back. She fully carried a Didi like personality & people all became an instant fan. She has become our new favourite.

It is sheer luck of India that rich people like Nehru, Bose jumped in independence struggle. Otherwise, Indians with broken spirit & will were never going to get independence. No matter how hard tribals tried, peasants tried, old royals tried, or even soldiers tried, British always had a way to crush them & crush them hard. India needed a breed of leaders which they could not lure with titles of knighthood (like they did with early congress) or the ones which they could buy or who were grateful to the British for their success (like Jinnah & some). This breed of elite Indians could defeat most suave Englishmen in their own language & games of law. They could have vacations whenever they wanted and could call or meet any European leader they want. Nehru went to Soviet Russia as the main guest, Bose could meet Hitler when he wanted. This breed was well connected & whenever you do something with them, empire was under pressure from even USA. Their attitude made it evident that Brits have to leave India sooner or later. Yes, international factors accelerated the process, but it is after all due to people like Nehru, Bose.

I haven't been as touched by a place in a long time, as I was on this unexpected trip to Srinagar. In the day and half I had to drive around after my work was done, I found unforgettable views, great food and fantastic conversations. (More on that, later). Srinagar is beautiful in many ways, most of all the people. I felt warmth, and welcome everywhere. Courtesy without pretense was a refreshing experience. I will come back and spend more time here. Till then, much love ❤️🖖🏼

Bachpan waala India. Regardless of the weather, our dinner time was at 7:00 PM and bed time was 10:00 Eating out at a restaurant was a huge deal, a rarity actually, that only happened when it was a birthday or a very special occasion to celebrate. There was no such thing as fast food on every other day, and having a bottle of soft drinks and an ice-cream from the local shop was a real treat. Pass your final exams and you might have gotten a new set of clothes, or Bata shoes. You took your school clothes off as soon as you got home and put on your ‘home’ clothes. There was no taking or picking you up in the car, you either boarded the school bus or rode on public transport, or just walked home. You got home did your chores and homework before dinner. Not everyone had a house phone and much later, all private conversation were at PCO booth's. We didn’t have appletv AmazonPrime or Netflix. We had only Doordarshan to watch. Jungle Book came once a week on a Sunday and Chhaya Geet on Thursday’s, for which we waited all week. We played chor police, lappa chuppi, Football, Cricket, lagori, dabba ice-spice (actually it was “I spy”) Marbles and any other game we could come up with... At home, we stuck to chess, ludo, snakes and ladders and Monopoly. Staying shut in the house was a PUNISHMENT and the only thing we knew about "bored" was --- "You better find something to do before I find it for you!" Life was good without insta, facebook, twitter. Followers were the friends standing behind you. We played music via magnetic tapes or radio. A walkman was a luxury for the uber rich. We went to the local shop for groceries and chiclets, jeera goli, kismi used to be a couple of paise. We ate what Mum made for dinner and put in our lunch and snack box. Bottled water was non existent. We drank from the school water filter. We called our friends from home by shouting their names from the street below. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. We played until dark... sunset was our alarm. If someone had a fight, that's what it was and we were friends again a day later if not SOONER. We watched our mouths around our elders because all of our aunts, uncles, grandpas, grandmas, and our parents' best friends were all extensions of our PARENTS and you didn't want them telling your parents you’d misbehaved! Or they would give you something to cry about. We respected the Police, Firemen, Ambulance workers, Teachers, Doctors and Nurses. We never answered back... ever!!! We got detention at school for not doing homework, no hair cut, being late to class or being naughty. Our teachers spanked us when we deserved it and our parents did not complain about it. We did not know what luxury was. Our simple lives were so good. Those were the good days. So many kids today will never know how it feels to be a real kid 😁. I loved my childhood and all the friends I hung around with. Congrats, if you are from the same generation... 😁🌹🤗

Sir, people in Pakistan are known for their warm hospitality their “mehman nawazī” is truly admirable. They also lead a decent lifestyle. The image we’ve grown up seeing, largely shaped by Bollywood, doesn’t always reflect reality. While we often mock or criticize them, they generally don’t respond in the same way in fact, many interact with Indians quite respectfully. It’s mostly politics and media narratives that have created this divide. As people, we should rise above that and avoid unnecessary mockery! 🙏🏻
