You can tell a political movement is really fighting cultural headwinds when they have to use the language the culture prefers (we will help you grow wealth buying houses) to argue for policies that are counter to that preference (add tons of supply).
Ironically, buying a house is a pretty bad idea right now AND prices are high bc supply is constrained, so there would be no better time to make the case against public policy that preferences home ownership.
The fact nobody is doing this tells you America will never have a public policy NOT designed to make houses get more expensive at any/all costs.
