Two years now since we uninstalled our doorbell and put up the “baby sleeping” sign and zero regrets. Literally zero solicitors. I talked to an architect about removing the front door and they told me I legally can’t do that lmao. This sign is staying up forever.

A long time ago, a team I was on had an outage
We temporarily patched it with a script running on an engineer’s laptop while rolling out the real fix
Half an hour in, the outage was back! Pagers beeping! Panic!
Someone had unknowingly closed the laptop

In all seriousness, this is the only productive mindset. If you think that something is “impossible” to do, you are very unlikely to succeed in doing it.
There are even accounts in history where someone thought someone else did a thing (but they actually didn’t) and did that thing because it seemed more possible.
