We recently added LoRA RL support for Qwen3.5 MoE models like Qwen3.5-122B. The process involved merge conflicts, dependency issues, and a tricky race condition related to LoRA weight syncing. We wrote up a post that goes into more detail and shares our work - link below!

We record candidates build in a real VM, and let you see who drives the model vs. who get swept up by it. outship.ai

If you are hiring engineers and want to see how they work with coding agents, check out Outship! It's like HackerRank, but candidates code with real Claude Code and Codex not some random crappy harness. 🚀

Pushing online RL to the next level -- exposing RL Token from the π-0.6 model for online RL achieves superhuman performance with as little as 15 minutes of data.
Physical Intelligence@physical_int

We developed an RL method for fine-tuning our models for precise tasks in just a few hours or even minutes. Instead of training the whole model, we add an “RL token” output to π-0.6, our latest model, which is used by a tiny actor and critic to learn quickly with RL.

@toddsaunders We're building exactly this! It's already used by some of the fastest growing YC companies. You send a task and they get a cloud VM with VS Code, terminal, and coding agents. Turns out analyzing how someone works with Codex/Claude can tell a lot! outship.ai

When interviewing someone, at this point all I want to know is how good they are at Claude code. How are you figuring this out during interviews? Give them a take home project? Or what’s the best way.

Pretty proud of this cracked Jupyter NB for ML we've been working on! It solves the reproducibility issues, flaky kernels, and inability to scale experiments that you see with traditional notebook paradigms. Check out this demo! youtu.be/LIQqzb0QGw8?si…

We are launching @outshipai (YC w25) a hiring platform that records and analyzes how engineering candidates use coding agents. Seeing a candidate work with AI can give you a lot of signal about their thought process and whether they’re the engineer you’re looking for.

Agentic engineering is completely rewriting the role of a software engineer, but how we hire and evaluate talent hasn't caught up. We're fixing that, by defining a new engineering role at Tolan: Agent Engineering Manager.

Awesome work by @sanerc110 @outshipai - this is the future and finally support for the "new coder" is emerging! I built a full-fledged Electromagnetic Generator simulation with suitable Physics approximations that handled vector calculus and was super accurate and an EdTech company interviewer asked me: "but do you know how to code in Python?"... It looks like the game is changing and @outshipai @sanerc110 are leading the way! very cool stuff!

Whoop has 800 employees today and just announced plans to grow headcount +600 this year. Investing in talent AND ai tools not mutually exclusive. Many of these “AI layoffs” are just companies under performing or lacking a bigger market opportunity.
Harry Stebbings@HarryStebbings

I have spoken to 3 founders in the last 48 hours; all of them with 500-1,000 employees. Each of them is planning a minimum 20% headcount reduction. Said with great concern; this is about to get very real for labour markets.

Some of our best hires were totally unqualified on paper. They always had the same qualities: entrepreneurial, high agency, smart, mission aligned, and they got shit done. If you’re hiring, especially in early stages, seek out & bet on these people. Don’t over-index on resumes.
