Brian’s story reminds us why we fight for more research, more time, more life. After learning his ALK+ cancer had progressed, he nearly cancelled his anniversary trip to the Maldives. He went. 200 dolphins. His 1st swim since his catheter removal. This is what we fight for. 💙

I read this Cell paper that argues to have discovered a molecule (betaine) that mimics the geroprotective effects of exercise. This is a very valuable multi-omics resource, but the authors seemed to get caught in the rabbit hole of chasing a high-impact narrative🧵

Real progress towards understanding the actual metastasis potential cells in ALK+ LC. DNA is only a surrogate. Only live cells can kill patients. Let’s understand them much better and what drives them and let’s kill them. @UMRogelCancer

We still use some of the same drugs my Dad got when I was 15. They are good drugs for other cancers but nor great on lung cancer. We r inventing new drugs, 2b reported soon. #moreresearchmorelife #lcam @UMRogelCancer We want cures! Total elimination or minimal disease
