@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy Shame it doesn't fully cover the drop in export rate and shame they didn't round down to 5p but better 5.2p rather than rounding up. Need to look again at agile outgoing.

So if you are on Intelligent Go 7p emails are going out and the new rate from 1st April drops from 7p to 5.2p offpeak. Standby for notices. Why the difference between fixed 7p and variable? Well in January @OctopusEnergy didn't increase the offpeak rate dispite the price cap going up and the April price cap would have seen an increase too if the government hadn't steeped in. It's the government removing costs that have helped take the offpeak rate down without it they would have gone up. Looking forward to July we don't know what will happen. The fixed rates were fixed. They weren't subject to any price cap rises. That's why they've worked out cheaper on the 7p rate.
