@richtosho @esther_irene_ That’s the real issue. With Cash app and PayPal not accessible in Nigeria, people are forced to look for other options to receive international payments this just shows how big the gap still is. That’s why personally I use @Vbanapp , it just makes things a lot easier.

@purpdesigns07 @TechnicalBben I get the point about needing global options like Paypal, but we can’t also ignore the gaps it leaves. That’s where solutions like @Vbanapp come in, giving people a way to receive international payments while still supporting the local system. Its not one or the other,we need both

@TechnicalBben Feelings aside, we need PayPal in Nigeria. That's the only way more foreign companies can easily integrate with our economy. We need both local and international fintech solutions. Forgot all these "PayPal stole my money in 1992"

You lot are weirdos, ewww Do you know how much Raenest, Cleva, accrue have invested in Nigerian talents, making sure they are earning well. In fact I still get monthly rewards from them even without receiving money through them sometimes. PayPal took people's money in Africa and ran away. Our people stepped up and built a solution. If you use PayPal you might just love your colonizers..

Just synced my PayPal to Paga. I’m not boycotting it with you people.😭

@Akintola_steve This is so real . The failures are one thing, but the silence and confusion after is what really breaks trust. That’s why options like @Vbanapp matter ,a more stable, transparent fallback can save users from that “did my money disappear?”anxiety.

Payment failures deserve their own conversation. Nigeria’s payment infrastructure is genuinely hard. USSD drops, card tokenisation fails silently, and bank APIs return ambiguous error codes. But here is the inexcusable part. Most apps do not handle these failures gracefully. No retry logic, no idempotency on the backend, no clear error messages. Just a generic “transaction failed, please try again,” leaving the user unsure if their money is gone.

The “We’re Building for Nigerians” Lie Let’s read. A Nigerian startup raises $2M. The press release says “built for Nigerians, by Nigerians.” The app requires 4G to load the dashboard. It crashes on a Tecno Spark. It times out during payment. Meanwhile, the founders are demoing it on a MacBook Pro in a co-working space with fibre internet. Let’s talk about this.

@chidiarkilla This is honestly so real . The stress of failed transactions, hidden charges, and the constant back and forth is exhausting. It’s no sully more people are starting to switch to alternatives like @Vbanapp for smoother and less frustrating international payments.

Nobody really talks about how stressful it is to pay for anything internationally from Nigeria. Your card gets declined for no clear reason. Banks blame the platforms. Platforms blame your bank. You’re stuck in the middle paying hidden charges, FX markups, and still not getting value. No accountability. Just vibes and frustration. If you’ve ever tried paying for something online and almost lost your mind, you know exactly what this feels like.

@ObiakorNelson @AskPayPal Having to reset your password, finally log in , then get blocked again even after waiting and trying everything is really frustrating, especially just from changing location. Try using @Vbanapp . They offer smoother access with fewer location restrictions and less login stress.

‘Streaming is harder than a 9–5. You have to be entertaining constantly, it’s not like skits where you get breaks. If you’re not engaging even for a minute, you lose viewers. With a 9–5, you’re guaranteed a fixed salary, but with streaming, you might not get paid at all for a whole month.’ 🤔 —Faridoyinbo

A client from Kenya tried to pay for a Ship Lean session. I sent a Paystack shop link, and it failed terribly. Well done, Paystack—aren’t you supposed to make these payments easy? Thanks to @PayPal and @paga, they paid me in USD. I received it in seconds and transferred it to Naira in seconds too. I’ve never received a PayPal payment before—this is unreal. Thanks, @oviosu, for making this possible.

So there you have it, if you sell to international clients from Nigeria, you have more options for receiving money than you probably thought. Use them. PS: Don't ever use @PayPal to receive money. It will end in tears. PayPal is a criminal outlet.

@SherifAyo02 PayPal stress in Nigeria is too much, always getting suspended for nothing. Honestly I see @Vbanapp as a solid alternative with virtual USD/EUR/GBP account for smooth international payments, easy withdrawal to Nigerian banks with less drama and stress. It’s worth trying honestly.

@IamDavidjr I get your point, a lot of platform seem very similar. But @Vbanapp stands out a bit because it’s not just offering “cross border” as a feature , it actually gives you a working USD account, making the whole process simpler and more reliable.

Lots of fintech platforms in Nigeria solves the same problem. no “unique” solution-driven services. For instance, you could easily find 10/15 platforms offering “cross-border” payment as an “innovation.”

@brosjayconcept @PayPal @AskPayPal @paga @paypaldev PayPal being active in Nigeria should mean you can actually receive payments without stress. If that’s still an issue then it defeats the purpose. That’s why many are turning to options like @Vbanapp, its more reliable and straightforward.
