I asked Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud about red lines on Iran. He says Saudi has “significant capabilities” if it chooses to act. Patience is “not unlimited” and no timelines will be telegraphed. Iran should “recalculate”…. but he doubts it has “that wisdom.”

We can hear - mostly distant - thuds and bangs in the sky over Dubai again tonight. UAE defences said to be working hard to intercept another Iran barrage. At some stage Gulf states will have to decide whether to hit back.

RAF Akrotiri, the British base in Cyprus, has been hit by a drone just over an hour after British PM Keir Starmer allowed British bases to be used to hit Iran. No reports of damage or injuries. Reports drone came from Lebanon. Another escalation.
