@chalaska so true.
adding to information architecture: solid behavioral recommendations.
working on AI products, I quickly learned you cannot rely on llm natural behavior and if you don't design them intentionally for your product, you end up with an inconsistent and painful experience

I work with AI all day long to code, to create tasks, automate things...
but there is one sacred place where I can create and it's just my brain, my imagination, a text editor and wordhippo.com
and honestly, it's become my brain workout.

@syswarren I would go insane if I worked in an office where people were doing this

One great year to look back on. One amazing ahead of you.

Today is my birthday.
I’m pleased with what got accomplished last year: debuting @firstofkind, 14 new portcos, @southpkcommons design chats, unveiling @GeometryofLuck
But this story is the project I’m happiest with—the most personal, unexpected one: keeperfable.com

@kylegalbraith The ship fast break thing mentality wasn't meant to delegate thinking, strategy and decisions to LLMs. And honestly, I think this is what's going on.

It's really starting to feel like some of these AI tools, like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and others, are all starting to crack a bit under their own weight.
I'm not clear if this is because they've all been built by dogfooding themselves (i.e. they were birthed from a vibe code session). Or if it's just the price to be paid for a product category that has never before seen an adoption curve as steep as this one.
No matter the reason, they all seem to be shipping shittier things as of late. Like bug-ridden things or things with terrible performance or shipping features that make it impossible to find your previous workflow.
I love that we can move this fast, and I love how powerful these tools are.
But someone needs to wake them up and tell them they still have human users on the other side that they should spend a little more time thinking about.
