A heartfelt thanks to @EvaHartell & the @researchED1 Scandinavia team in #Haninge, Sweden. There was a vibrant exchange of research, educational practices, resources & #ScienceofLearning implementation journeys. Thanks to the presenters who provided a quality program for the 600+ attendees. A special thank you to my colleagues Nancy Robottom and Angela Columbine, co-presenters of @CamberwellGirls literacy implementation journey. Here are a few takeaways from the sessions I was able to attend. It includes a QR code to the slides and resources from our presentation bit.ly/TeamsToolsandT…

If students were taught well in the first place, fewer would need Tier 2 intervention. Some students are victims of instructional disabilities, not learning disabilities. This is from my conversation with Anita Archer. Link to episode below ⬇️

Here are a few of the many takeaways from @researchED_Aus Sydney which lived up to my high expectations for research-practice sharing, rigorous discussion, sticky questions and connecting with curious educators. Keynotes from @natwexler and @PamelaSnow2 were a highlight. A very big thank you to Cassandra Pride and her team at St Catherine's School Sydney for the hundreds of pre-conference and conference day hours spent ensuring its success. #Reading #Writing #DLD @JessicaColleu @annaevah @EvaHartell

It is amazing how something as low key as a morning tea can have an impact - a colleague read information shared for #dldday they identified their child as having many features of DLD #devlangdis and now feel empowered to support and advocate for their child #DLDAwarenessDay

You Can’t See DLD Could it be language? Dr Susan Ebbels and the team at Moor House Research and Training Institute have created resources and workshops to build educators’ understanding of DLD. Their check list, Could it be language? is an excellent free resource which alerts us to some of the features of DLD. Check out: Could it be language?
